1The Lord said to Moses,2‘Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.3‘These are the offerings you are to receive from them: ‘gold, silver and bronze;4blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;5ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather[1]; acacia wood;6olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;7and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.8‘Then let them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.9Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
The ark
10‘Let them make an ark[2] of acacia wood – two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.[3]11Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold moulding around it.12Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other.13Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.14Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry it.15The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed.16Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you.17‘Make an atonement cover of pure gold – two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.18And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover.19Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.20The cherubim are to have their wings spread upwards, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking towards the cover.21Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you.22There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.
The table
23‘Make a table of acacia wood – two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.[4]24Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold moulding around it.25Also make around it a rim a handbreadth[5] wide and put a gold moulding on the rim.26Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are.27The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table.28Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them.29And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings.30Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.
The lampstand
31‘Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them.32Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand – three on one side and three on the other.33Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand.34And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms.35One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair – six branches in all.36The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.37‘Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it.38Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold.39A talent[6] of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories.40See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.

Les offrandes pour le tabernacle
1L’Eternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:2Invite les Israélites à me faire des offrandes prélevées sur leurs biens. Vous accepterez de tout homme qui la donnera de bon cœur l’offrande qu’il me fera.3Voici ce que vous accepterez en guise d’offrande: de l’or, de l’argent et du bronze,4des fils de pourpre violette et écarlate, de rouge éclatant, du fin lin et du poil de chèvre,5des peaux de béliers teintes en rouge, des peaux de dauphins[1] et du bois d’acacia,6de l’huile pour le chandelier et des aromates pour l’huile d’onction[2] et pour le parfum aromatique, (Ex 30:23)7des pierres d’onyx et d’autres pierres précieuses à enchâsser pour l’éphod et pour le pectoral[3]. (Ex 28:6; Ex 28:15)8Le peuple me fabriquera un sanctuaire pour que j’habite au milieu de lui.9Je te montrerai le modèle du tabernacle[4] et de tous les ustensiles qu’il contiendra, afin que vous exécutiez tout exactement selon ce modèle. Le coffre de l’alliance et le propitiatoire
10On fabriquera un coffre[5] en bois d’acacia. Il aura cent vingt-cinq centimètres de long, soixante-quinze centimètres de large et soixante-quinze centimètres de haut[6]. (Ge 6:14; Ex 2:3; Ex 30:6; 1Sa 3:3; Ps 132:8)11Tu le plaqueras d’or pur, à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur, et tu le garniras d’une bordure d’or tout autour.12Tu couleras pour lui quatre anneaux d’or que tu fixeras aux quatre coins du coffre, deux de chaque côté.13Tu tailleras aussi des barres de bois d’acacia que tu plaqueras d’or.14Tu les engageras dans les anneaux, le long des côtés du coffre pour qu’on puisse le porter.15Les barres devront rester en permanence dans les anneaux du coffre, on ne les en retirera pas.16Tu déposeras à l’intérieur de ce coffre l’acte de l’alliance que je te donnerai.17Tu feras aussi un propitiatoire[7] d’or pur de cent vingt-cinq centimètres de long et de soixante-quinze centimètres de large[8] qui servira de couvercle pour le coffre.18Tu façonneras au marteau deux chérubins[9] en or massif, que tu fixeras aux deux extrémités du propitiatoire. (1Sa 4:4; 2Sa 6:2; 2Ki 19:5; Ps 80:1; Ps 99:1)19Tu feras un chérubin pour chacune des deux extrémités du propitiatoire, de manière à ce qu’ils fassent corps avec lui aux deux extrémités.20Les ailes des chérubins se déploieront vers le haut en couvrant le propitiatoire et ceux-ci se feront face, le regard dirigé vers le propitiatoire.21Après avoir déposé dans le coffre l’acte de l’alliance que je te donnerai, tu placeras le propitiatoire dessus.22C’est là, au-dessus du propitiatoire, entre les deux chérubins placés sur le coffre de l’acte de l’alliance, que je me manifesterai à toi; c’est de là que je te communiquerai tous mes ordres pour les Israélites.
La table des pains exposés devant l’Eternel
23Tu fabriqueras une table en bois d’acacia d’un mètre de long, de cinquante centimètres de large et de soixante-quinze centimètres de haut[10].24Tu la plaqueras d’or pur et tu garniras son pourtour d’une bordure d’or.25Tu lui feras un cadre de huit centimètres[11] que tu garniras d’une bordure d’or.26Tu feras quatre anneaux d’or que tu fixeras aux quatre coins près des quatre pieds de la table.27Les anneaux seront placés tout près du cadre pour recevoir les barres destinées à porter la table.28Tu feras ces barres en bois d’acacia et tu les plaqueras d’or. Elles serviront à transporter la table.29Tu fabriqueras aussi des plats et des coupes, des carafes et des bols qui serviront aux libations[12]; tu les feras d’or pur. (Nu 4:7)30Tu placeras sur la table le pain exposé devant moi. Il sera en permanence devant moi[13]. (Le 24:5)
Le chandelier d’or
31Tu feras un chandelier en or pur. Le chandelier, son pied et sa tige seront travaillés au marteau; des coupelles, calices et corolles[14] en sortiront.32Six branches en partiront latéralement, trois de chaque côté.33Chaque branche du chandelier portera trois coupelles en forme de fleur d’amandier, avec un calice et une corolle. Il en sera ainsi pour les six branches du chandelier.34Le pied portera quatre coupelles en forme de fleur d’amandier avec un calice et une corolle.35Il y aura un calice sous chacune des trois paires de branches du chandelier.36Ces calices et ces branches feront corps avec lui: le tout sera d’une seule masse d’or pur martelé.37Tu fabriqueras aussi les sept lampes que tu fixeras en haut du chandelier, pour qu’il éclaire l’espace devant lui.38Tu feras ses pincettes et ses mouchettes en or pur.39On emploiera trente kilogrammes[15] d’or pur pour faire le chandelier et tous ses accessoires.40Aie soin d’exécuter tout ce travail exactement selon le modèle qui t’est montré sur la montagne[16].
