1A Psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. 113:3)2Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth. (تث 33:2; مز 48:2; مز 80:1; مز 94:1; مرا 2:15)3Our God comes; he does not keep silence;[1] before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty tempest. 7:10)4He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that he may judge his people: (تث 4:26; تث 31:28; تث 32:1; إش 1:2; مي 6:1)5“Gather to me my faithful ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice!” (تك 15:9; خر 24:7)6The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge! 19:2)7“Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God. (خر 20:2; مز 49:1; مز 81:8)8Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you; your burnt offerings are continually before me. (مز 40:6)9I will not accept a bull from your house or goats from your folds.10For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.11I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine. (مت 10:29)12“If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine. (مز 24:1)13Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?14Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving,[2] and perform your vows to the Most High, (عد 30:2; تث 23:21; أي 22:27; مز 22:25; مز 27:6; مز 50:23; مز 61:8; مز 65:1; مز 69:30; مز 76:11; مز 107:22; مز 116:14; مز 116:18; جا 5:4; هو 14:2; رو 12:1; عب 13:15)15and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” (مز 22:23; مز 50:23; مز 81:7; مز 91:15; مز 107:6; زك 13:9)16But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to recite my statutes or take my covenant on your lips?17For you hate discipline, and you cast my words behind you. (1مل 14:9; نح 9:26; رو 2:21)18If you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and you keep company with adulterers. (رو 1:32; 1تي 5:22)19“You give your mouth free rein for evil, and your tongue frames deceit. (مز 52:2)20You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.21These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I[3] was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you. (2مل 19:4; أي 13:18; أي 23:4; مز 90:8; جا 8:11; إش 57:11)22“Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver! (مز 7:2; مز 9:17)23The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!” (مز 50:14; مز 91:16; غل 6:16)
