1Why do the nations rage[1] and the peoples plot in vain? (مز 46:6; أع 4:25)2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, (مز 18:50; مز 20:6; مز 45:7; مز 89:20)3“Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” (إر 5:5)4He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. (أي 22:19; مز 11:4; مز 29:10; مز 37:13; مز 59:8; أم 1:26; إش 40:22)5Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, (رؤ 6:16)6“As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” (2صم 5:7; مز 3:4; مز 15:1; مز 43:3; مز 99:9; مز 110:2; أم 8:23)7I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. (أع 13:33; رو 1:4; عب 1:5; عب 5:5)8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. (مز 72:8; مز 89:27; دا 7:14)9You shall break[2] them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” (أي 34:24; مز 89:23; إش 30:14; إر 19:11; رؤ 2:27; رؤ 12:5; رؤ 19:15)10Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.11Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (في 2:12; في 4:4; عب 12:28)12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
