1 بَارِكِي يَا نَفْسِي الرَّبَّ. مَا أَعْظَمَكَ أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهِي فَأَنْتَ مُتَسَرْبِلٌ بِالْمَجْدِ وَالْجَلالِ. 2 أَنْتَ الْلابِسُ النُّورَ كَثَوْبٍ، وَالْبَاسِطُ السَّمَاوَاتِ كَخَيْمَةٍ. 3 الْمُقِيمُ بَيْتَكَ فَوْقَ الْمِيَاهِ الْعُلْيَا، الْجَاعِلُ مِنَ السُّحُبِ مَرْكَبَتَكَ، السَّائِرُ عَلَى أَجْنِحَةِ الرِّيحِ، 4 الصَّانِعُ ملائِكَتَكَ رِيَاحاً وَخُدَّامَكَ لَهِيبَ نَارٍ. 5 الْمُؤَسِّسُ الأَرْضَ عَلَى قَوَاعِدِهَا فَلَا تَتَزَعْزَعُ إِلَى الدَّهْرِ وَالأَبَدِ. 6 غَمَرْتَهَا بِاللُّجَجِ كَثَوْبٍ فَتَغَطَّتْ رُؤُوسُ الْجِبَالِ بِالْمِيَاهِ. 7 مِنْ زَجْرِكَ تَهْرُبُ الْمِيَاهُ، وَمِنْ قَصْفِ رَعْدِكَ تَفِرُّ. 8 ارْتَفَعَتِ الْجِبَالُ وَغَاصَتِ الْوِهَادُ، إِلَى الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي خَصَّصْتَهُ لَهَا. 9 وَضَعْتَ لِلْبَحْرِ حَدّاً لَا يَتَعَدَّاهُ حَتَّى لَا تَعُودَ مِيَاهُهُ تَغْمُرُ الأَرْضَ. 10 أَنْتَ الْمُفَجِّرُ الْيَنَابِيعَ فِي الأَوْدِيَةِ، فَتَجْرِي بَيْنَ الْجِبَالِ. 11 تَسْقِي جَمِيعَ حَيَوَانَاتِ الْبَرِّيَّةِ، وَتَرْوِي مِنْهَا حَمِيرُ الْوَحْشِ عَطَشَهَا. 12 إِلَى جُوَارِهَا تُعَشِّشُ طُيُورُ السَّمَاءِ، وَتُغَرِّدُ بَيْنَ الأَغْصَانِ. 13 تَسْقِي الْجِبَالَ مِنْ أَمْطَارِ سَمَائِكَ، وَتَمْتَلِىءُ الأَرْضُ مِنْ أَثْمَارِ أَعْمَالِكَ. 14 أَنْتَ الْمُنْبِتُ عُشْباً لِلْبَهَائِمِ وَخُضْرَةً لِخِدْمَةِ الإِنْسَانِ، لإِنْتَاجِ خُبْزٍ مِنَ الأَرْضِ، 15 وَخَمْرٍ تُفَرِّحُ قَلْبَ الإِنْسَانِ وَتُوَرِّدُ وَجْهَهُ فَيَلْمَعُ كَبَرِيقِ الزَّيْتِ، وَخُبْزٍ يُسْنِدُ قَلْبَهُ. 16 تَرْتَوِي أَشْجَارُ الرَّبِّ، أَرْزُ لُبْنَانَ الَّذِي غَرَسَهُ. 17 حَيْثُ تَبْنِي الطُّيُورُ أَوْكَارَهَا، أَمَّا اللَّقْلَقُ فَفِي السَّرْوِ مَبِيتُهُ. 18 الْجِبَالُ الْعَالِيَةُ مَوْطِنُ الْوُعُولِ، وَالصُّخُورُ مَلْجَأٌ لِلْوِبَارِ. 19 أَنْتَ صَنَعْتَ الْقَمَرَ لِتَحْدِيدِ مَوَاقِيتِ الشُّهُورِ، وَالشَّمْسُ تَعْرِفُ مَوْعِدَ مَغْرِبِهَا. 20 تُحِلُّ الظُّلْمَةَ فَيَصِيرُ لَيْلٌ يَجُوسُ فِيهِ كُلُّ حَيَوَانِ الْغَابَةِ. 21 تُزَمْجِرُ الأَشْبَالُ طَلَباً لِفَرِيسَتِهَا مُلْتَمِسَةً طَعَامَهَا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ. 22 وَمَا إِنْ تُشْرِقُ الشَّمْسُ حَتَّى تَعُودَ إِلَى عَرَائِنِهَا وَتَرْبِضَ فِيهَا 23 أَمَّا الإِنْسَانُ فَيَخْرُجُ إِلَى عَمَلِهِ وَشُغْلِهِ حَتَّى الْمَسَاءِ. 24 يَا رَبُّ مَا أَعْظَمَ أَعْمَالَكَ، كُلَّهَا صَنَعْتَ بِحِكْمَةٍ، فَامْتَلأَتِ الأَرْضُ مِنْ غِنَاكَ. 25 هَذَا الْبَحْرُ الْكَبِيرُ الْوَاسِعُ، الَّذِي يَعِجُّ بِمَخْلُوقَاتٍ لَا تُحْصَى مِنْ حَيَوَانَاتٍ مَائِيَّةٍ صَغِيرَةٍ وَكَبِيرَةٍ 26 تَجْرِي فِيهِ السُّفُنُ، تَمْرَحُ فِيهِ الْحِيتَانُ الَّتِي خَلَقْتَهَا. 27 تَلْتَفِتُ جَمِيعُهَا إِلَيْكَ كَيْ تَرْزُقَهَا طَعَامَهَا فِي أَوَانِهِ. 28 أَنْتَ تُعْطِيهَا وَهِيَ تَلْتَقِطُ، تَبْسُطُ يَدَكَ لَهَا فَتَشْبَعُ خَيْراً. 29 تَحْجُبُ عَنْهَا وَجْهَكَ فَتَفْزَعُ. تَقْبِضُ أَرْوَاحَهَا فَتَمُوتُ، وَإِلَى تُرَابِهَا تَعُودُ. 30 تُرْسِلُ رُوحَكَ فَتُخْلَقُ ثَانِيَةً وَتُجَدِّدُ وَجْهَ الأَرْضِ. 31 مَجْدُ الرَّبِّ يَدُومُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ. الرَّبُّ يَفْرَحُ بِأَعْمَالِهِ. 32 يَنْظُرُ إِلَى الأَرْضِ فَتَرْتَجِفُ، يَمَسُّ الْجِبَالَ فَتَمْتَلِئُ دُخَاناً 33 أُرَنِّمُ لِلرَّبِّ وَأَشْدُو لإِلَهِي مَادُمْتُ حَيًّا. 34 فَيَلَذُّ لَهُ نَشِيدِي، وَأَنَا أَفْرَحُ بِالرَّبِّ. 35 لِيَنْقَطِعِ الْخُطَاةُ مِنَ الأَرْضِ، وَلْيَبِدِ الأَشْرَارُ. بَارِكِي يَا نَفْسِي الرَّبَّ. هَلِّلُويَا.

O Lord My God, You Are Very Great

8 The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them. (أي 38:8; أي 38:10) 9 You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth. 16 The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. (عد 24:6; قض 9:15) 17 In them the birds build their nests; the stork has her home in the fir trees. 18 The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers. (لا 11:5; أي 39:1; أم 30:26) 19 He made the moon to mark the seasons;^[1] the sun knows its time for setting. (تك 1:14; لا 23:4) 20 You make darkness, and it is night, when all the beasts of the forest creep about. (إش 45:7) 21 The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God. (أي 38:39) 22 When the sun rises, they steal away and lie down in their dens. (أي 37:8) 23 Man goes out to his work and to his labor until the evening. (تك 3:19) 24 O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. (أم 3:19) 25 Here is the sea, great and wide, which teems with creatures innumerable, living things both small and great. 30 When you send forth your Spirit,^[3] they are created, and you renew the face of the ground. (أي 33:4; رؤ 21:5) 31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works, (تك 1:31; مز 72:17; أم 8:31) 32 who looks on the earth and it trembles, who touches the mountains and they smoke! 33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being. (مز 63:4) 34 May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord.
