1But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. (1تي 4:1)2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, (لو 16:14; رو 1:30; في 2:21; 1تي 6:10)3heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, (رو 1:31; تي 1:8)4treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (في 3:19; 1تي 3:6; 1تي 6:4)5having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. (1تي 5:8; 1تي 6:20; تي 1:14)6For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, (تي 1:11)7always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. (1تي 2:4)8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. (خر 7:11; أع 13:8; 1تي 6:5; تي 1:16)9But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men. (خر 7:12; خر 8:18; خر 9:11)
All Scripture Is Breathed Out by God
10You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, (في 2:22)11my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. (مز 34:19; أع 13:14; أع 13:45; أع 13:50; أع 14:1; أع 14:5; أع 14:6; أع 14:19; 2كو 1:10; 2تي 4:17)12Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, (أع 14:22; تي 2:12)13while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. (تي 3:3; رؤ 22:11)14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom[1] you learned it (1تي 4:6)15and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. (مز 119:99; يو 5:39; أف 6:4; 2تي 1:5)16All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (رو 15:4; 2بط 1:20)17that the man of God[2] may be complete, equipped for every good work. (لو 6:40; 1تي 6:11; 2تي 2:21)
