Psalm 16

King James Version

1 Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. 

2 O my soul , thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; 

3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. 

4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god : their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. 

5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. 

6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places ; yea, I have a goodly heritage. 

7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. 

8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. 

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

1 Ein Miktam von David. Bewahre mich, o Gott, denn ich vertraue auf dich! (Ps 5:12; Ps 56:1; Ps 57:1; Na 1:7) 

2 [Meine Seele,] du hast zum HERRN gesagt: »Du bist mein Herr; es gibt für mich nichts Gutes außer dir!« (Ps 16:5; Ps 73:28; Joh 6:68; Joh 20:28) 

3 Die Heiligen, die auf Erden sind, sie sind die Edlen, an denen ich all mein Wohlgefallen habe. (Ps 44:4; Ps 149:4; Isa 42:1; Lu 2:14) 

4 Zahlreich werden die Schmerzen derer sein, die einem anderen [Gott] nacheilen; an ihren Trankopfern von Blut will ich mich nicht beteiligen, noch ihre Namen auf meine Lippen nehmen! (Ex 23:13; Jer 7:18; Jer 19:13; Jer 32:29) 

5 Der HERR ist mein Erbteil und das [Teil] meines Bechers; du sicherst mir mein Los. (Job 22:25; Ps 37:4; La 3:24) 

6 Die Messschnüre sind mir in einer lieblichen Gegend gefallen, ja, mir wurde ein schönes Erbe zuteil. (Ps 119:111; Ps 135:12; Eph 1:18; 1Pe 1:3) 

7 Ich lobe den HERRN, der mir Rat gegeben hat; auch in der Nacht mahnt mich mein Inneres. (Ps 32:8; Ps 42:9; Ps 73:24; Ps 77:3; Isa 62:6) 

8 Ich habe den HERRN allezeit vor Augen; weil er zu meiner Rechten ist, wanke ich nicht. (1Ch 16:11; Ps 123:2; Joh 8:29; Ac 2:28) 

9 Darum freut sich mein Herz, und meine Seele frohlockt; auch mein Fleisch wird sicher ruhen, (Ps 103:1; Ps 103:22; Lu 1:47; 1Th 4:13) 

10 denn du wirst meine Seele nicht dem Totenreich preisgeben und wirst nicht zulassen, dass dein Getreuer die Verwesung sieht. (Ac 2:25; Ac 2:30; Ac 13:35) 

11 Du wirst mir den Weg des Lebens zeigen; vor deinem Angesicht sind Freuden in Fülle, liebliches Wesen zu deiner Rechten ewiglich! (1Ch 16:27; Isa 35:10; Mt 7:14; Joh 14:6; Joh 15:11; Joh 16:24; Jud 1:24)
