1And again he entered into Capernaum, after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.2And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.3And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.4And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.5When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.6But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,7Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?8And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?9Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?10But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)11I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.12And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.13And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.14And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.15And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.16And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?17When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.18And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?19And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.20But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.21No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.22And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.23And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.24And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?25And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?26How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?27And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:28Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Die Heilung eines Gelähmten
1Und nach etlichen Tagen ging er wieder nach Kapernaum; und als man hörte, dass er im Haus sei, (Mr 1:21)2da versammelten sich sogleich viele, sodass kein Platz mehr war, auch nicht draußen bei der Tür; und er verkündigte ihnen das Wort. (De 18:18; Ps 40:10; Eze 33:31; Joh 6:68; Ac 20:20; Jas 1:22)3Und etliche kamen zu ihm und brachten einen Gelähmten, der von vier Leuten getragen wurde.4Und da sie wegen der Menge nicht zu ihm herankommen konnten, deckten sie dort, wo er war, das Dach ab,[1] und nachdem sie es aufgebrochen hatten, ließen sie die Liegematte[2] herab, auf welcher der Gelähmte lag.5Als aber Jesus ihren Glauben sah, sprach er zu dem Gelähmten: Sohn, deine Sünden sind dir vergeben! (Ps 32:1; Ac 13:38; Ac 14:9; Ga 5:6)6Es saßen aber dort etliche von den Schriftgelehrten, die dachten in ihren Herzen:7Was redet dieser solche Lästerung? Wer kann Sünden vergeben als nur Gott allein? (Ps 103:3; Ps 130:4; Isa 43:25; Da 9:9; Mt 11:25; Joh 10:33)8Und sogleich erkannte Jesus in seinem Geist, dass sie so bei sich dachten, und sprach zu ihnen: Warum denkt ihr dies in euren Herzen? (Jer 17:9; Mt 12:35; Mr 7:21; Joh 2:25; Ac 1:24)9Was ist leichter, zu dem Gelähmten zu sagen: Dir sind die Sünden vergeben!, oder zu sagen: Steh auf und nimm deine Liegematte und geh umher? (Mr 2:5)10Damit ihr aber wisst, dass der Sohn des Menschen Vollmacht hat, auf Erden Sünden zu vergeben — sprach er zu dem Gelähmten: (Lu 23:43; Lu 24:47; Joh 5:27; Joh 10:38; Joh 17:2; Joh 20:23)11Ich sage dir, steh auf und nimm deine Liegematte und geh heim! (Joh 5:8; Ac 9:34)12Und er stand sogleich auf, nahm seine Liegematte und ging vor aller Augen hinaus, sodass sie alle erstaunten, Gott priesen und sprachen: So etwas haben wir noch nie gesehen! Die Berufung des Levi
13Da ging er wieder an den See hinaus, und die ganze Menge kam zu ihm, und er lehrte sie.14Und als er vorüberging, sah er Levi, den Sohn des Alphäus, an der Zollstätte sitzen. Und er sprach zu ihm: Folge mir nach! Und er stand auf und folgte ihm. (Mt 21:31; Mr 10:28; Ga 1:15)15Und es geschah, als er in dessen Haus zu Tisch saß, dass auch viele Zöllner und Sünder sich mit Jesus und seinen Jüngern zu Tisch setzten, denn es waren viele, die ihm nachfolgten. (Isa 57:15; Lu 5:29; Lu 15:2)16Und als die Schriftgelehrten und die Pharisäer sahen, dass er mit den Zöllnern und Sündern aß, sprachen sie zu seinen Jüngern: Warum isst und trinkt er mit den Zöllnern und Sündern? (Isa 65:5; Lu 18:11; Lu 19:7)17Als Jesus es hörte, sprach er zu ihnen: Nicht die Starken brauchen den Arzt, sondern die Kranken. Ich bin nicht gekommen, Gerechte zu berufen, sondern Sünder zur Buße. (Isa 55:7; Mt 11:28; Lu 19:10; Ro 3:23; 1Ti 1:15)
Vom Fasten. Gleichnisse vom neuen Flicken und vom neuen Wein
18Und die Jünger des Johannes und die der Pharisäer pflegten zu fasten; und sie kamen zu ihm und fragten: Warum fasten die Jünger des Johannes und der Pharisäer, deine Jünger aber fasten nicht? (Mt 11:18; Lu 18:12)19Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Können die Hochzeitsgäste fasten, solange der Bräutigam bei ihnen ist? Solange sie den Bräutigam bei sich haben, können sie nicht fasten.20Es werden aber Tage kommen, da der Bräutigam von ihnen genommen sein wird, und dann, in jenen Tagen, werden sie fasten.21Und niemand näht einen Lappen von neuem Tuch auf ein altes Kleid; sonst löst sein neuer Flicken sich ab vom alten, und der Riss wird schlimmer.22Und niemand füllt neuen Wein in alte Schläuche, sonst zerreißt der neue Wein die Schläuche, und der Wein wird verschüttet und die Schläuche verderben; sondern neuer Wein soll in neue Schläuche gefüllt werden.
Jesus ist Herr über den Sabbat
23Und es begab sich, dass er am Sabbat durch die Kornfelder ging. Und seine Jünger fingen an, auf dem Weg die Ähren abzustreifen. (De 23:24)24Da sprachen die Pharisäer zu ihm: Sieh doch, warum tun sie am Sabbat, was nicht erlaubt ist?25Und er sprach zu ihnen: Habt ihr nie gelesen, was David tat, als er Mangel litt und er und seine Gefährten Hunger hatten, (1Sa 21:1)26wie er zur Zeit des Hohenpriesters Abjatar in das Haus Gottes hineinging und die Schaubrote aß, die niemand essen darf als nur die Priester, und auch denen davon gab, die bei ihm waren? (Le 24:5)27Und er sprach zu ihnen: Der Sabbat wurde um des Menschen willen geschaffen, nicht der Mensch um des Sabbats willen. (De 5:14; Mt 12:7)28Also ist der Sohn des Menschen Herr auch über den Sabbat. (Joh 5:16)
