1 And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt thou make it. 2 A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be: and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of the same. 3 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about. 4 And two golden rings shalt thou make to it under the crown of it, by the two corners thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make it ; and they shall be for places for the staves to bear it withal. 5 And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. 6 And thou shalt put it before the vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee. 7 And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it. 8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations. 9 Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon. 10 And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD. 11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 12 When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them. 13 This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD. 14 Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD. 15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls. 16 And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls. 17 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal : and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. 19 For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat: 20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD: 21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations. 22 Moreover the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 23 Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels , and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels , and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels , 24 And of cassia five hundred shekels , after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: 25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil. 26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony, 27 And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense, 28 And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot. 29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy. 30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest' office. 31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. 32 Upon man' flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. 33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people. 34 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight : 35 And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy: 36 And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy. 37 And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the LORD. 38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.

Der Räucheraltar

2 Eine Elle lang und eine Elle breit soll er sein, viereckig, und zwei Ellen hoch, und seine Hörner sollen aus einem Stück mit ihm sein. (Ex 37:25) 3 Und du sollst ihn mit reinem Gold überziehen, seine Platte und seine Wände ringsum und seine Hörner, und sollst ihm ringsum einen goldenen Kranz machen; (Ex 35:11; Ex 35:24) 4 und mache ihm zwei goldene Ringe unter dem Kranz; an seinen beiden Seiten sollst du sie anbringen, an seinen beiden Wänden, und sie sollen die Tragstangen aufnehmen, dass man ihn damit tragen kann. (Ex 37:27) 5 Und die Tragstangen sollst du aus Akazienholz machen und sie mit Gold überziehen. (Ex 37:28) 6 Und du sollst ihn vor den Vorhang stellen, der vor der Lade des Zeugnisses hängt, und vor den Sühnedeckel, der auf dem Zeugnis ist, wo ich mit dir zusammenkommen will. (Ex 25:22; Ex 26:31) 7 Und Aaron soll wohlriechendes Räucherwerk auf ihm räuchern, Morgen für Morgen; wenn er die Lampen zurichtet, soll er es räuchern. 8 Und auch wenn Aaron zur Abendzeit die Lampen zurichtet, soll er es räuchern. Es soll ein beständiges Räucherwerk sein vor dem HERRN bei euren [künftigen] Geschlechtern. (Ps 141:2) 9 Ihr sollt kein fremdes Räucherwerk auf ihm darbringen und auch kein Brandopfer, kein Speisopfer; und ihr sollt kein Trankopfer auf ihm ausgießen. (Le 10:1) 10 Aber einmal im Jahr soll Aaron auf seinen Hörnern Sühnung erwirken; mit dem Blut des Sündopfers der Versöhnung soll er einmal jährlich darauf Sühnung erwirken für eure Geschlechter; er ist dem HERRN hochheilig. (Le 16:17; Heb 9:7; Heb 9:25)

Das Lösegeld für die Israeliten

11 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach: 12 Wenn du die Zahl der Kinder Israels ermittelst, alle, die gezählt werden, so soll jeder dem HERRN ein Lösegeld für seine Seele geben, wenn man sie zählt, damit nicht eine Plage über sie kommt, wenn sie gezählt werden. 13 Jeder, der durch die Zählung geht, soll einen halben Schekel geben, nach dem Schekel des Heiligtums (ein Schekel gilt 20 Gera) — einen halben Schekel als Hebopfer für den HERRN. (Le 27:25; Nu 3:47) 14 Jeder, der durch die Zählung geht im Alter von 20 Jahren und darüber, der soll dem HERRN das Hebopfer geben. (Nu 18:8; Nu 18:19; Nu 18:26; Eze 20:40)

15 Der Reiche soll nicht mehr geben und der Arme nicht weniger als einen halben Schekel, wenn ihr dem HERRN das Hebopfer gebt, um Sühnung zu erwirken für eure Seelen. (Job 34:19; Pr 22:2; Ro 3:22; 1Co 4:7)

16 Und du sollst das Sühnegeld von den Kindern Israels nehmen und es für den Dienst der Stiftshütte geben, dass es den Kindern Israels zum Gedenken sei vor dem HERRN, um Sühnung zu erwirken für eure Seelen. (Ex 38:25)

Das eherne Becken

17 Weiter redete der HERR mit Mose und sprach: 18 Du sollst auch ein ehernes Becken machen mit einem ehernen Gestell, zum Waschen, und du sollst es aufstellen zwischen der Stiftshütte und dem Altar, und Wasser hineingießen. (Ex 38:8; 2Ch 4:2) 19 Und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen aus ihm ihre Hände und Füße waschen. (Ex 40:31; Ps 26:6; Joh 13:8; Heb 10:22)

20 Wenn sie in die Stiftshütte gehen wollen, so sollen sie sich mit Wasser waschen, damit sie nicht sterben; ebenso wenn sie zum Altar nahen, um zu dienen und ein Feueropfer dem HERRN in Rauch aufgehen zu lassen. (Ex 40:31; 2Sa 12:20) 21 Und zwar sollen sie ihre Hände und ihre Füße waschen, damit sie nicht sterben. Das soll eine ewig gültige Ordnung für sie sein, für ihn und seinen Samen, für ihre [künftigen] Geschlechter. (Ex 27:21; Ex 28:43)

Das heilige Salböl und das Räucherwerk

22 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach: 23 Nimm du dir auserlesene Spezerei: 500 Schekel feinste Myrrhe und halb so viel wohlriechenden Zimt, 250 [Schekel], und wohlriechenden Kalmus, auch 250, (Ge 37:25; Ps 45:9; Pr 7:17; So 4:14; Mt 2:11)

24 dazu 500 [Schekel] Kassia, nach dem Schekel des Heiligtums, und ein Hin Olivenöl; (Ps 45:9) 25 und mache daraus ein heiliges Salböl, eine Mischung von Gewürzsalbe, nach der Kunst des Salbenbereiters gemischt; ein heiliges Salböl soll es sein. (Ex 31:11; Ex 37:29; Ps 89:21; Ps 133:2)

27 sowie den Tisch mit allen seinen Geräten und den Leuchter mit seinen Geräten, und den Räucheraltar, 28 und den Brandopferaltar mit allen seinen Geräten und das Becken mit seinem Gestell. 29 Und du sollst sie heiligen, damit sie hochheilig seien; alles, was damit in Berührung kommt, wird heilig sein.^[1] (Ex 29:37; Ex 40:9; Le 8:10; Nu 7:1)

30 Auch Aaron und seine Söhne sollst du salben und sie heiligen, damit sie mir als Priester dienen. (Ex 29:7) 31 Und du sollst zu den Kindern Israels sagen: Das soll mir ein heiliges Salböl sein für alle eure [künftigen] Geschlechter! 32 Es soll nicht auf das Fleisch irgendeines Menschen gegossen werden; ihr sollt auch in der gleichen Zusammensetzung keines machen; es ist heilig, darum soll es euch heilig sein. 34 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Nimm dir Spezerei: Harz, Räucherklaue und Galbanum, wohlriechendes Gewürz und reinen Weihrauch, zu gleichen Teilen, 35 und bereite Räucherwerk daraus, nach der Kunst des Salbenbereiters gemischt, gesalzen, rein und heilig. (Ex 37:29; Le 2:13; 1Ch 9:29; Mr 9:49; Col 4:6)

36 Und zerreibe etwas davon ganz fein und lege etwas davon vor das Zeugnis in die Stiftshütte, wo ich mit dir zusammenkommen will. Das soll euch hochheilig sein. (Ex 30:6; Le 16:12) 37 Und was das Räucherwerk betrifft, das du bereiten sollst, so sollt ihr in der gleichen Zusammensetzung für euch selbst keines machen, sondern es soll dir heilig sein für den HERRN. (Ex 29:37; Ex 30:32; Le 2:3) 38 Wer es nachmacht, um daran zu riechen, der soll ausgerottet werden aus seinem Volk! (Ex 30:33)
