1Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?2Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?4If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.5I speak to your shame. 1Wie kann jemand von euch, der eine Beschwerde gegen einen anderen hat, sich bei den Ungerechten richten lassen anstatt bei den Heiligen? (Mt 18:15)2Wisst ihr nicht, dass die Heiligen die Welt richten werden? Wenn nun durch euch die Welt gerichtet werden soll, seid ihr dann unwürdig, über die allergeringsten Dinge zu entscheiden? (Da 7:22; Mt 19:28; Jud 1:15)3Wisst ihr nicht, dass wir Engel richten werden? Wie viel mehr die Angelegenheiten dieses Lebens?4Wenn ihr nun über Angelegenheiten dieses Lebens Entscheidungen zu treffen habt, so setzt ihr solche zu Richtern ein, die bei der Gemeinde nichts gelten! (Ac 5:1; 1Co 5:12)5Zur Beschämung sage ich’s euch: Demnach ist also nicht ein einziger Weiser unter euch, der ein unparteiisches Urteil fällen könnte für seinen Bruder; (Mt 18:15; Jas 3:13)6sondern ein Bruder führt Rechtsstreit mit dem anderen, und das vor Ungläubigen! 9Wisst ihr denn nicht, dass Ungerechte das Reich Gottes nicht erben werden? Irrt euch nicht: Weder Unzüchtige noch Götzendiener, weder Ehebrecher noch Weichlinge, noch Knabenschänder, (Ro 1:18; Col 3:25)10weder Diebe noch Habsüchtige, noch Trunkenbolde, noch Lästerer, noch Räuber werden das Reich Gottes erben. (Ga 5:21; Heb 12:14; Re 21:27; Re 22:15)11Und solche sind etliche von euch gewesen; aber ihr seid abgewaschen, ihr seid geheiligt, ihr seid gerechtfertigt worden in dem Namen des Herrn Jesus und in dem Geist unseres Gottes!
