Hoffnung für alle

Herr, du hast uns gerettet!

1 Dankt dem HERRN, denn er ist gut, und seine Gnade hört niemals auf! 2 Dies sollen alle bekennen, die der HERR erlöst hat. Ja, er hat sie aus der Gewalt ihrer Unterdrücker befreit 3 und aus fernen Ländern wieder zurückgebracht – aus Ost und West, aus Nord und Süd. 4 Manche irrten in der trostlosen Wüste umher und konnten keinen bewohnten Ort finden. 5 Hunger und Durst raubten ihnen alle Kraft, sie waren der Verzweiflung nahe. 6 In auswegloser Lage schrien sie zum HERRN, und er rettete sie aus ihrer Not. 7 Er half ihnen, den richtigen Weg zu finden, und führte sie zu einer bewohnten Stadt. 8 Sie sollen den HERRN preisen für seine Gnade und für seine Wunder, die er uns Menschen erleben lässt! 9 Denn er hat den Verdurstenden zu trinken gegeben, die Hungernden versorgte er mit reichlich Nahrung. 10 Andere lagen in der Finsternis gefangen und litten unter ihren schweren Fesseln. 11 Sie hatten missachtet, was Gott ihnen sagte, und die Weisungen des Höchsten in den Wind geschlagen. 12 Darum zerbrach er ihren Stolz durch Mühsal und Leid; sie lagen am Boden, und keiner half ihnen auf. 13 In auswegloser Lage schrien sie zum HERRN, und er rettete sie aus ihrer Not. 14 Er holte sie aus den finsteren Kerkern heraus und riss ihre Fesseln entzwei. 15 Sie sollen den HERRN preisen für seine Gnade und für seine Wunder, die er uns Menschen erleben lässt! 16 Denn er hat die gepanzerten Türen zerschmettert und die eisernen Riegel aufgebrochen. 17 Andere hatten leichtfertig gesündigt; wegen ihrer Verfehlungen siechten sie nun dahin. 18 Zuletzt ekelten sie sich vor jeder Speise und standen schon an der Schwelle des Todes. 19 In auswegloser Lage schrien sie zum HERRN, und er rettete sie aus ihrer Not. 20 Er sprach nur ein Wort, und sie wurden gesund. So bewahrte er sie vor dem sicheren Tod. 21 Sie sollen den HERRN preisen für seine Gnade und für seine Wunder, die er uns Menschen erleben lässt! 22 Aus Dank sollen sie ihm Opfergaben bringen und voll Freude von seinen Taten erzählen! 23 Wieder andere segelten aufs Meer hinaus, um mit ihren Schiffen Handel zu treiben. 24 Dort erlebten sie die Macht des HERRN, auf hoher See wurden sie Zeugen seiner Wunder. 25 Nur ein Wort von ihm – und ein Sturm peitschte das Meer. Wogen türmten sich auf, 26 warfen die Schiffe hoch in die Luft und stießen sie sogleich wieder in die Tiefe. Da verloren die Seeleute jede Hoffnung. 27 Sie wankten und taumelten wie Betrunkene, mit ihrer Weisheit waren sie am Ende. 28 In auswegloser Lage schrien sie zum HERRN, und er rettete sie aus ihrer Not. 29 Er bannte die tödliche Gefahr: Der Sturm legte sich, und die Wellen wurden ruhig. 30 Da jubelten sie, dass endlich Stille herrschte! Gott brachte sie in den sicheren Hafen, an das ersehnte Ziel. 31 Sie sollen den HERRN preisen für seine Gnade und für seine Wunder, die er uns Menschen erleben lässt! 32 Vor der ganzen Gemeinde sollen sie ihn rühmen und ihn loben vor dem Rat der führenden Männer. 33 Gott verwandelt wasserreiches Land in dürre Wüste, und wo vorher Quellen sprudelten, entstehen trostlose Steppen. 34 Fruchtbare Gebiete lässt er zur Salzwüste veröden, wenn die Bosheit der Bewohner dort überhandnimmt. 35 Doch er verwandelt auch dürres Land in eine Oase und lässt mitten in der Steppe Quellen aufbrechen. 36 Hungernde Menschen siedeln sich dort an und gründen Städte, um darin zu wohnen. 37 Sie bestellen die Felder, legen Weinberge an und bringen Jahr für Jahr eine reiche Ernte ein. 38 Gott segnet sie mit vielen Kindern und vergrößert ihre Viehherden immer mehr. 39 Doch wenn sie immer weniger werden, wenn sie gebeugt sind von Unglück und Leid, 40 dann macht Gott ihre Unterdrücker zum Gespött und lässt sie in der Wüste umherirren. 41 Die Hilflosen aber rettet er aus ihrem Elend und lässt ihre Familien wachsen wie große Herden. 42 Die aufrichtigen Menschen sehen es voll Freude, und alle niederträchtigen müssen verstummen. 43 Wer verständig ist, der soll immer wieder daran denken und erkennen, auf welch vielfache Weise der HERR seine Gnade zeigt!

1 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! 12 So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor; they fell down, with none to help. (Ps 22,11) 13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. 36 And there he lets the hungry dwell, and they establish a city to live in; (Ps 107,4; Ps 107,7) 37 they sow fields and plant vineyards and get a fruitful yield. 38 By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their livestock diminish. (1Mo 12,2; 1Mo 17,20; 2Mo 1,7) 39 When they are diminished and brought low through oppression, evil, and sorrow, 40 he pours contempt on princes and makes them wander in trackless wastes; (5Mo 32,10; Hi 12,21; Hi 12,24) 41 but he raises up the needy out of affliction and makes their families like flocks.
