Gott, die Zuflucht bis ins Alter

1 Bei dir, o HERR, habe ich mich geborgen, lass mich nicht zuschanden werden in Ewigkeit! (Ps 31,2) 2 Reiß mich heraus und rette mich in deiner Gerechtigkeit! Neige dein Ohr mir zu und hilf mir! 3 Sei mir ein schützender Fels, zu dem ich allzeit kommen darf! Du hast geboten, mich zu retten, denn du bist mein Fels und meine Festung. (Ps 92,16) 4 Mein Gott, rette mich aus der Hand des Frevlers, aus der Faust des Bedrückers und Schurken! (Ps 140,2) 5 Denn du bist meine Hoffnung, Herr und GOTT, meine Zuversicht von Jugend auf. 6 Vom Mutterleib an habe ich mich auf dich gestützt, / aus dem Schoß meiner Mutter hast du mich entbunden, dir gilt mein Lobpreis allezeit. (Ps 22,11) 7 Für viele wurde ich wie ein Gezeichneter, du aber bist meine starke Zuflucht. (Ps 31,12; Jes 52,14) 8 Mein Mund ist erfüllt von deinem Lobpreis, den ganzen Tag von deinem Glanz. 9 Verwirf mich nicht, wenn ich alt bin, verlass mich nicht, wenn meine Kräfte schwinden! (Jes 46,4) 10 Denn meine Feinde haben gegen mich geredet, die auf mich lauern, haben sich gemeinsam beraten. 11 Sie sagen: Gott hat ihn verlassen. / Verfolgt und ergreift ihn! Für ihn gibt es keinen Retter. (Ps 3,3; Ps 22,9; Ps 69,27) 12 Gott, bleib doch nicht fern von mir! Mein Gott, eile mir zu Hilfe! (Ps 22,12) 13 Alle, die mich bekämpfen, sollen scheitern und untergehn. Über sie komme Schmach und Schande, weil sie mein Unglück suchen.^[1] (Ps 35,4) 14 Ich aber will allezeit hoffen, all deinen Lobpreis noch mehren. 15 Mein Mund soll von deiner Gerechtigkeit künden, / den ganzen Tag von deinen rettenden Taten, denn ich kann sie nicht zählen. (Ps 35,28) 16 Ich komme wegen der Machttaten GOTTES, des Herrn, an deine Gerechtigkeit allein will ich erinnern. 17 Gott, du hast mich gelehrt von Jugend auf und bis heute verkünde ich deine Wunder. 18 Auch wenn ich alt und grau bin, Gott, verlass mich nicht, damit ich von deinem machtvollen Arm der Nachwelt künde, den kommenden Geschlechtern von deiner Stärke, (Ps 22,31) 19 von deiner Gerechtigkeit, Gott, die bis zum Himmel reicht! Du hast Großes vollbracht. Gott, wer ist wie du? (Ps 40,6; Ps 72,18; Ps 86,8) 20 Du ließest mich viel Angst und Not erfahren, / du wirst mich neu beleben, du führst mich wieder herauf aus den Tiefen der Erde. (Ps 9,14) 21 Bring mich zu Ehren! Du wirst mich wieder trösten. 22 Dann will ich dir danken mit Harfenspiel/ und deine Treue preisen, mein Gott; ich will dir auf der Leier spielen, du Heiliger Israels. (Jes 6,3; Jes 43,3) 23 Meine Lippen sollen jubeln, / ja, dir will ich singen und spielen und meine Seele, die du losgekauft hast. (Ps 7,18) 24 Auch meine Zunge soll von deiner Gerechtigkeit reden den ganzen Tag, denn alle, die mein Unglück suchen, sind vor Scham errötet und gescheitert. (Ps 40,15)

1 In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. 2 In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me. 3 Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. 4 Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel. 5 For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. 6 From my birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you. 7 I have become a sign to many; you are my strong refuge. 8 My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendour all day long. 9 Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone. 10 For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together. 11 They say, ‘God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no-one will rescue him.’ 12 Do not be far from me, my God; come quickly, God, to help me. 13 May my accusers perish in shame; may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace. 14 As for me, I shall always have hope; I will praise you more and more. 15 My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long – though I know not how to relate them all. 16 I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone. 17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvellous deeds. 18 Even when I am old and grey, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come. 19 Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens, you who have done great things. Who is like you, God? 20 Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. 21 You will increase my honour and comfort me once more. 22 I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel. 23 My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you – I whom you have delivered. 24 My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion.
