1 Ihr Herren, gebt den Sklaven, was recht und billig ist; ihr wisst, dass auch ihr im Himmel einen Herrn habt.

Mahnungen an alle

2 Lasst nicht nach im Beten; seid dabei wachsam und dankbar! (Eph 6,18) 3 Betet auch für uns, damit Gott uns eine Tür öffnet für das Wort und wir vom Geheimnis Christi sprechen können, um dessentwillen ich im Gefängnis bin; (Apg 14,27) 4 betet, damit ich es so kundtue, wie davon zu sprechen meine Pflicht ist! 5 Seid weise im Umgang mit den Außenstehenden, nutzt die Zeit! (Eph 5,16) 6 Euer Wort sei immer freundlich, doch mit Salz gewürzt, denn ihr müsst jedem in der rechten Weise antworten können.

PERSÖNLICHE MITTEILUNGEN UND GRÜSSE

7 Was mich betrifft, wird euch Tychikus, der geliebte Bruder und treue Diener und Mitknecht im Herrn, alles berichten. (Eph 6,21) 8 Ihn habe ich eigens zu euch gesandt, damit ihr alles über uns erfahrt und er eure Herzen ermutige. 9 Er kommt mit Onesimus, dem treuen und geliebten Bruder, der ja einer von euch ist. Sie werden euch über alles berichten, was hier vor sich geht.^[1] (Phlm 1,10) 10 Es grüßt euch Aristarch, mein Mitgefangener, und Markus, der Vetter des Barnabas - was ihn betrifft, dazu habt ihr schon Anweisungen erhalten; wenn er zu euch kommt, nehmt ihn auf! - (Phlm 1,23) 11 Auch Jesus, genannt Justus, grüßt euch. Von den Juden sind sie die Einzigen, die mit mir für das Reich Gottes arbeiten; durch sie bin ich getröstet worden. 12 Es grüßt euch Epaphras, der Knecht Christi Jesu, einer von euch. Immer kämpft er für euch im Gebet, dass ihr vollkommen werdet und ganz durchdrungen seid vom Willen Gottes. (Kol 1,7; Phlm 1,23) 13 Ich bezeuge ihm, dass er sich große Mühe gibt um euch und um die Gläubigen in Laodizea und Hiërapolis. 14 Es grüßen euch Lukas, der geliebte Arzt, und Demas. (2Tim 4,11; Phlm 1,24) 15 Grüßt die Brüder in Laodizea, auch Nympha und die Gemeinde in ihrem Haus! 16 Und wenn der Brief bei euch vorgelesen worden ist, sorgt dafür, dass er auch in der Gemeinde von Laodizea vorgelesen wird und dass ihr auch den aus Laodizea lest!^[2] 17 Sagt dem Archippus: Achte auf den Dienst, den du im Herrn empfangen hast, damit du ihn erfüllst! (Phlm 1,2) 18 Den Gruß schreibe ich, Paulus, eigenhändig. Denkt an meine Fesseln! Die Gnade sei mit euch! (1Kor 16,21; 2Thess 3,17)

7 Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant^[1] in the Lord. 8 I am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know about our^[2] circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts. 9 He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here. 10 My fellow prisoner Aristarchus sends you his greetings, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas. (You have received instructions about him; if he comes to you, welcome him.) 11 Jesus, who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews^[3] among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have proved a comfort to me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. 13 I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis. 14 Our dear friend Luke, the doctor, and Demas send greetings. 15 Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house. 16 After this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea. 17 Tell Archippus: ‘See to it that you complete the ministry you have received in the Lord.’ 18 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand.
