HERR, ich habe dich gerufen, eile mir zu Hilfe!
Höre auf meine Stimme, wenn ich zu dir rufe!2Mein Bittgebet sei ein Räucheropfer vor deinem Angesicht,

behüte das Tor meiner Lippen! (Ps 39,2; Jak 3,5)4Neige mein Herz nicht zum bösen Wort,
damit ich nicht frevlerische Taten verübe
zusammen mit Männern, die Unrecht tun,
damit ich nicht koste von ihren Genüssen!5Schlägt mich ein Gerechter, ist es Liebe,/
weist er mich zurecht, ist es Salböl, das mein Haupt nicht verweigert.
Ja, immer noch bete ich für sie trotz ihrer Bosheit.[1] (Spr 9,8; Spr 27,5)6Sind ihre Richter auf Felsen hinabgestürzt,/
dann werden die Frevler meine Worte hören,
denn diese waren freundlich.[2]7Wie beim Aufhacken und Pflügen der Erde,
so sind unsere Knochen hingestreut an den Rand der Totenwelt.8Doch auf dich, GOTT und Herr, richten sich meine Augen,
bei dir habe ich mich geborgen, gieße nicht aus mein Leben! (Ps 25,15)9Behüte mich vor dem Zugriff der Falle, die sie mir stellten,
und vor dem Fangholz derer, die Unrecht tun! (Ps 140,6)10In ihre eigenen Netze werden die Frevler fallen - /
sie alle miteinander,

1A Psalm of David. O Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you! (Ps 40,13; Ps 70,5)2Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice! Yet my prayer is continually against their evil deeds.
