Geborgenheit in Gott

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Von David. HERR, mein Herz überhebt sich nicht, nicht hochmütig blicken meine Augen, ich gehe nicht um mit großen Dingen, mit Dingen, die mir nicht begreiflich sind. (1Petr 5,5; Sir 3,21; Sir 23,4) 

2 Vielmehr habe ich besänftigt, habe zur Ruhe gebracht meine Seele. Wie ein gestilltes Kind bei seiner Mutter, wie das gestillte Kind, so ist meine Seele in mir. (Ps 62,2) 

3 Israel, warte auf den HERRN von nun an bis in Ewigkeit! (Ps 130,7)

I Have Calmed and Quieted My Soul

1 A Song of Ascents. Of David. O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. (Hi 42,3; Ps 101,5; Ps 120,1; Ps 138,6; Jes 57,15; Jer 45,5; Röm 12,16) 

2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. (Mt 18,3; 1Kor 14,20) 

3 O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. (Ps 130,7)
