1Und er zeigte mir einen Strom, das Wasser des Lebens, klar wie Kristall; er geht vom Thron Gottes und des Lammes aus. (1Mo 2,10; Sach 14,8)2Zwischen der Straße der Stadt und dem Strom, hüben und drüben, steht ein Baum des Lebens. Zwölfmal trägt er Früchte, jeden Monat gibt er seine Frucht; und die Blätter des Baumes dienen zur Heilung der Völker. (1Mo 2,9; Hes 47,12)3Es wird nichts mehr geben, was der Fluch Gottes trifft. Der Thron Gottes und des Lammes wird in der Stadt stehen und seine Knechte werden ihm dienen. (Sach 14,11)4Sie werden sein Angesicht schauen und sein Name ist auf ihre Stirn geschrieben. (Ps 17,15)5Es wird keine Nacht mehr geben und sie brauchen weder das Licht einer Lampe noch das Licht der Sonne. Denn der Herr, ihr Gott, wird über ihnen leuchten und sie werden herrschen in alle Ewigkeit. (Jes 60,19; Dan 7,18)
ZEUGNIS UND MAHNUNG DES SEHERS
6Und der Engel sagte zu mir: Diese Worte sind zuverlässig und wahr. Gott, der Herr über den Geist der Propheten, hat seinen Engel gesandt, um seinen Knechten zu zeigen, was bald geschehen muss. (Dan 2,28)7Siehe, ich komme bald. Selig, wer an den prophetischen Worten dieses Buches festhält! (Sach 2,14; Offb 1,3; Offb 22,12)8Ich, Johannes, habe dies gehört und gesehen. Und als ich es hörte und sah, fiel ich dem Engel, der mir dies gezeigt hatte, zu Füßen, um ihn anzubeten.9Da sagte er zu mir: Tu das nicht! Ich bin nur ein Mitknecht wie du und deine Brüder, die Propheten, und wie alle, die sich an die Worte dieses Buches halten. Gott bete an! (Offb 19,10)10Und er sagte zu mir: Versiegle dieses Buch mit seinen prophetischen Worten nicht! Denn die Zeit ist nahe. (Dan 12,4)11Wer Unrecht tut, tue weiter Unrecht, der Unreine bleibe unrein, der Gerechte handle weiter gerecht und der Heilige strebe weiter nach Heiligkeit. (Dan 12,10)12Siehe, ich komme bald und mit mir bringe ich den Lohn und ich werde jedem geben, was seinem Werk entspricht. (Ps 28,4; Jes 40,10; Sach 2,14)13Ich bin das Alpha und das Omega, der Erste und der Letzte, der Anfang und das Ende. (Jes 44,6; Offb 1,17)14Selig, die ihre Gewänder waschen: Sie haben Anteil am Baum des Lebens und sie werden durch die Tore in die Stadt eintreten können. (1Mo 2,9; 1Mo 3,22; Offb 1,3)15Draußen bleiben die Hunde und die Zauberer, die Unzüchtigen und die Mörder, die Götzendiener und jeder, der die Lüge liebt und tut. (Mt 15,19; Offb 21,8)16Ich, Jesus, habe meinen Engel gesandt als Zeugen für das, was die Gemeinden betrifft. Ich bin die Wurzel und der Stamm Davids, der strahlende Morgenstern. (4Mo 24,17; Jes 11,1)17Der Geist und die Braut aber sagen: Komm! Wer hört, der rufe: Komm! Wer durstig ist, der komme! Wer will, empfange unentgeltlich das Wasser des Lebens! (Jes 55,1; Sach 14,8)18Ich bezeuge jedem, der die prophetischen Worte dieses Buches hört: Wer etwas hinzufügt, dem wird Gott die Plagen zufügen, von denen in diesem Buch geschrieben steht. (5Mo 4,2; 5Mo 13,1; 5Mo 29,20)19Und wer etwas wegnimmt von den prophetischen Worten dieses Buches, dem wird Gott seinen Anteil am Baum des Lebens und an der heiligen Stadt wegnehmen, von denen in diesem Buch geschrieben steht. (1Mo 2,9; 1Mo 3,22; 5Mo 4,2)20Er, der dies bezeugt, spricht: Ja, ich komme bald. - Amen. Komm, Herr Jesus! (1Kor 16,22; Offb 3,11; Offb 22,7)21Die Gnade des Herrn Jesus sei mit allen! (Hebr 13,25)

And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, (Offb 1,1; Offb 1,4; Offb 1,9; Offb 19,10)9but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” (Offb 22,6; Offb 22,8)10And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. (Offb 10,4)11Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.” (Hes 3,27; Dan 12,10; 2Tim 3,13)12“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. (Jes 40,10; Jes 62,11; Mt 16,27; Offb 22,7; Offb 22,20)13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Offb 1,8; Offb 1,17; Offb 21,6)14Blessed are those who wash their robes,[3] so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. (Ps 118,20; Offb 7,14; Offb 21,27; Offb 22,2; Offb 22,19)15Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (Mt 8,12; Gal 5,19; Phil 3,2; Offb 21,8)16“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” (4Mo 24,17; Jes 60,3; Mt 1,1; Mt 2,2; Offb 1,1; Offb 1,4; Offb 2,28; Offb 5,5)17The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. (Jes 55,1; Joh 7,37; Offb 21,2; Offb 21,6; Offb 21,9)18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, (5Mo 4,2; 5Mo 12,32; Spr 30,6)19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Offb 21,2; Offb 22,2; Offb 22,14)20He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
