1Petrus und Johannes gingen zur Gebetszeit um die neunte Stunde in den Tempel hinauf.2Da wurde ein Mann herbeigetragen, der von Geburt an gelähmt war. Man setzte ihn täglich an das Tor des Tempels, das man die Schöne Pforte nennt; dort sollte er bei denen, die in den Tempel gingen, um Almosen betteln. (Apg 14,8)3Als er nun Petrus und Johannes in den Tempel gehen sah, bat er sie um ein Almosen.4Petrus und Johannes blickten ihn an und Petrus sagte: Sieh uns an!5Da wandte er sich ihnen zu und erwartete, etwas von ihnen zu bekommen.6Petrus aber sagte: Silber und Gold besitze ich nicht. Doch was ich habe, das gebe ich dir: Im Namen Jesu Christi, des Nazoräers, steh auf und geh umher!7Und er fasste ihn an der rechten Hand und richtete ihn auf. Sogleich kam Kraft in seine Füße und Gelenke;8er sprang auf, konnte stehen und ging umher. Dann ging er mit ihnen in den Tempel, lief und sprang umher und lobte Gott.9Alle Leute sahen ihn umhergehen und Gott loben.10Sie erkannten ihn als den, der gewöhnlich an der Schönen Pforte des Tempels saß und bettelte. 12Als Petrus das sah, wandte er sich an das Volk: Israeliten, was wundert ihr euch darüber? Was starrt ihr uns an, als hätten wir aus eigener Kraft oder Frömmigkeit bewirkt, dass dieser gehen kann?13Der Gott Abrahams, Isaaks und Jakobs, der Gott unserer Väter, hat seinen Knecht Jesus verherrlicht, den ihr ausgeliefert und vor Pilatus verleugnet habt, obwohl dieser entschieden hatte, ihn freizulassen. (2Mo 3,6; Jes 52,13; Lk 23,19)14Ihr aber habt den Heiligen und Gerechten verleugnet und die Freilassung eines Mörders erbeten.15Den Urheber des Lebens habt ihr getötet, aber Gott hat ihn von den Toten auferweckt. Dafür sind wir Zeugen. (Apg 4,10; Apg 5,31; Hebr 2,10)16Und aufgrund des Glaubens an seinen Namen hat dieser Name den Mann hier, den ihr seht und kennt, zu Kräften gebracht; der Glaube, der durch ihn kommt, hat ihm vor euer aller Augen die volle Gesundheit geschenkt.17Nun, Brüder, ich weiß, ihr habt aus Unwissenheit gehandelt, ebenso wie eure Anführer. (Lk 21,27)22Mose hat gesagt: Einen Propheten wie mich wird euch der Herr, euer Gott, aus euren Brüdern erwecken. Auf ihn sollt ihr hören in allem, was er zu euch sagt. (5Mo 18,15; Joh 1,21; Joh 6,14; Apg 7,37)23Jeder, der auf jenen Propheten nicht hört, wird aus dem Volk ausgemerzt werden. The Lame Beggar Healed
1Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.[1] (1Kön 18,29; Ps 55,17; Mt 27,46; Lk 18,10; Apg 10,3; Apg 10,30)2And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. (Lk 16,20; Joh 9,8; Apg 14,8)3Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms.4And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.”5And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them.6But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” (Apg 9,34; 2Kor 6,10)7And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.8And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.
