1Für den Dirigenten[1]. Nach derselben Melodie zu begleiten wie »Verschone und erhalte!«[2]. Ein Psalm Asafs. Ein Lied. (Ps 4:1; Ps 57:1)2Wir danken dir, Gott, wir danken dir. Du bist uns nahe – dein Name ist unter uns bekannt. Von den Wundern, die du vollbringst, erzählt man überall.[3]3Du sagst ja: »Ich wähle den richtigen Zeitpunkt – und dann werde ich unparteiisch Gericht halten.4Mag auch die Erde wanken, mögen ihre Bewohner beben vor Angst – ich selbst habe ihre Grundpfeiler unverrückbar befestigt. //[4] (Ps 3:3)5Ich rufe den Stolzen zu: Schluss mit eurer Überheblichkeit!
