Psalm 57

English Standard Version

1 To the choirmaster: according to Do Not Destroy. A Miktam[1] of David, when he fled from Saul, in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by. (1Sa 22:1; 1Sa 24:1; Ps 4:1; Ps 16:1; Ps 17:8; Ps 56:1; Ps 58:1; Ps 59:1; Ps 75:1; Ps 91:4; Ps 142:1; Isa 26:20)2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. (Ps 138:8)3 He will send from heaven and save me; he will put to shame him who tramples on me. God will send out his steadfast love and his faithfulness! (Ps 18:16; Ps 36:5; Ps 40:11; Ps 43:3; Ps 56:1; Ps 144:5; Ps 144:7)4 My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down amid fiery beasts— the children of man, whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. 1 ارْحَمْنِي يَا اللهُ ارْحَمْنِي، لأَنَّ بِكَ لاذَتْ نَفْسِي، وَبِظِلِّ جَنَاحَيْكَ أَحْتَمِي إِلَى أَنْ تَعْبُرَ الْمَصَائِبُ.2 أَصْرُخُ إِلَى اللهِ الْعَلِيِّ، الَّذِي يُتَمِّمُ لِي مَقَاصِدَهُ،3 فَيُرْسِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَيُخَلِّصُنِي، وَيَمْلَأُ بِالْخِزْيِ مَنْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَفْتَرِسَنِي. يُرْسِلُ اللهُ رَحْمَتَهُ وَحَقَّهُ.4 حِينَ أَرْقُدُ بَيْنَ نَافِثِي السُّمُومِ مِنْ بَنِي الْبَشَرِ أَجِدُ نَفْسِي بَيْنَ الأُسُودِ الْمُفْتَرِسَةِ؛ أَنْيَابُهُمْ كَالرِّمَاحِ وَالسِّهَامِ، وَأَلْسِنَتُهُمْ كَالسُّيُوفِ الْحَادَّةِ.5 لِتَتَعَالَ يَا اللهُ عَلَى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلْيَرْتَفِعْ مَجْدُكَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا.6 نَصَبُوا شَبَكَةً لِخُطْوَاتِي، فَانْحَنَتْ نَفْسِي. حَفَرُوا أَمَامِي حُفْرَةً فَسَقَطُوا هُمْ فِيهَا.7 ثَابِتٌ قَلْبِي يَا اللهُ، ثَابِتٌ قَلْبِي. أَشْدُو وَأُرَنِّمُ.8 اسْتَيْقِظِي يَا نَفْسِي. اسْتَيْقِظِي يَا رَبَابُ وَيَا عُوْدُ. سَأُوْقِظُ الفَجْرَ عَلَى شَدْوِي.9 يَا رَبُّ أَحْمَدُكَ بَيْنَ الشُّعُوبِ وَأَشْدُو لَكَ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ.10 لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ قَدْ عَظُمَتْ إِلَى السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَحَقُّكَ إِلَى الْغَمَامِ.11 ارْتَفِعْ يَا اللهُ عَلَى السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَلْيَرْتَفِعْ مَجْدُكَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا.
