Luke 21

1 Jesus[1] looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, (2Ki 12:9; Mr 12:41; Joh 8:20) 2 and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins.[2] (Lu 12:59) 3 And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. (2Co 8:2; 2Co 8:12) 4 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” (Lu 8:43; Php 4:11) 



5 And while some were speaking of the temple, how it was adorned with noble stones and offerings, he said, (Mt 24:1; Mr 13:1) 6 “As for these things that you see, the days will come when there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” (Lu 17:22; Lu 19:43) 7 And they asked him, “Teacher, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?” (Ac 1:6) 8 And he said, “See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and, ‘The time is at hand!’ Do not go after them. (Jer 14:14; Jer 29:8; Mt 3:2; Mt 4:17; Mr 1:15; Joh 8:24; Eph 5:6; Col 2:8; 2Th 2:3; 1Jo 2:18; 1Jo 3:7) 9 And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end will not be at once.” (Lu 24:37; Re 1:1) 



10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. (2Ch 15:6; Isa 19:2; Re 6:4) 11 There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. (Isa 19:17; Mt 16:1; Mr 8:11; Lu 11:16; Lu 21:25; Ac 11:28; Re 6:8; Re 6:12; Re 12:1; Re 12:3; Re 13:13; Re 15:1) 12 But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake. (Mt 10:17; Ac 4:3; Ac 5:18; Ac 8:3; Ac 12:4; Ac 16:19; Ac 16:24; Ac 17:6; Ac 18:12; Ac 22:19; Ac 24:1; Ac 24:27; Ac 25:6; Ac 26:11; Ac 27:24; 2Co 11:23) 13 This will be your opportunity to bear witness. (Php 1:13; Php 1:19) 14 Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, (Lu 12:11) 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. (Ex 4:12; Jer 1:9; Ac 4:14; Ac 6:10) 16 You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers[3] and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death. (Mt 10:35; Lu 12:53) 17 You will be hated by all for my name’s sake. (Lu 6:22; Joh 15:18) 18 But not a hair of your head will perish. (1Sa 14:45; Lu 21:16; Joh 10:28) 19 By your endurance you will gain your lives. (Mt 10:22; Mt 24:13; Ro 5:3; Heb 10:36) 



20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. (Da 9:27; Lu 19:43) 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, 22 for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. (Isa 34:8; Isa 63:4; Ho 9:7; Mt 1:22; Lu 18:7) 23 Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people. (Lu 23:29; 1Th 2:16) 24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (De 28:64; Ps 79:1; Isa 63:3; Isa 63:18; Da 8:13; Da 12:7; Zec 12:3; Ro 11:25; Re 11:2) 



25 “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, (Ps 65:7; Isa 13:10; Isa 14:12; Isa 24:23; Isa 34:4; Eze 32:7; Joe 2:10; Joe 2:31; Joe 3:15; Am 5:20; Am 8:9; Zep 1:15; Ac 2:20; Re 6:12; Re 6:13; Re 8:12) 26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. (Isa 34:4) 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (Da 7:13; Mt 25:31; Mt 26:64; Mr 9:1) 28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Job 10:15; Lu 1:68; Ro 8:23; Ro 13:11; Eph 4:30) 



29 And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. (Mt 16:3; Lu 12:57) 31 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. (Lu 9:27) 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Ps 102:26; Ps 119:89; Isa 40:8; Isa 51:6; Mt 5:18; Heb 12:27; 1Pe 1:23; 1Pe 1:25; 2Pe 3:10) 



34 “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. (Ec 9:12; Isa 24:17; Mt 13:22; Lu 12:40; Ro 13:13; 1Th 5:3; 1Th 5:6; Jas 5:5; 1Pe 4:7) 35 For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Ho 12:4; Mt 25:13; Mt 26:41; Mr 14:34; Lu 12:37; Lu 18:1; Ac 20:31; 1Co 16:13; 1Th 5:6; 1Pe 5:8; Re 6:17) 37 And every day he was teaching in the temple, but at night he went out and lodged on the mount called Olivet. (Mt 21:1; Mt 21:17; Mt 26:55; Mr 11:19; Lu 22:39; Joh 8:1; Joh 18:2) 38 And early in the morning all the people came to him in the temple to hear him. (Lu 21:37)

الكتاب المقدس



1 وَتَطَلَّعَ فَرَأَى الأَغْنِيَاءَ يُلْقُونَ تَقْدِمَاتِهِمْ فِي صُنْدُوقِ الْهَيْكَلِ. 2 وَرَأَى أَيْضاً أَرْمَلَةً فَقِيرَةً تُلْقِي فِيهِ فَلْسَيْنِ. 3 فَقَالَ: «الحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنَّ هذِهِ الأَرْمَلَةَ الْفَقِيرَةَ قَدْ أَلْقَتْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ جَمِيعاً. 4 لأَنَّ هَؤُلاءِ جَمِيعاً قَدْ أَلْقَوْا فِي التَّقْدِمَاتِ مِنَ الْفَائِضِ عَنْهُمْ. وَأَمَّا هِيَ، فَمِنْ حَاجَتِهَا أَلْقَتْ كُلَّ مَا تَمْلِكُهُ لِمَعِيشَتِهَا!» 



5 وَإِذْ تَحَدَّثَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنِ الْهَيْكَلِ بِأَنَّهُ مُزَيَّنٌ بِالْحِجَارَةِ الْجَمِيلَةِ وَتُحَفِ النُّذُورِ، 6 قَالَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا الَّذِي تَرَوْنَهُ، سَتَأْتِي أَيَّامٌ لَا يَبْقَى فِيهَا حَجَرٌ مِنْهُ فَوْقَ حَجَرٍ إِلّا وَيُهْدَمُ». 7 فَسَأَلُوهُ قَائِلِينَ: «يَا مُعَلِّمُ، مَتَى يَحْدُثُ هَذَا؟ وَمَا هِيَ الْعَلامَةُ الَّتِي تَظْهَرُ حِينَ يَقْتَرِبُ وُقُوعُهُ؟» 8 فَقَالَ: «انْتَبِهُوا! لَا تَضِلُّوا! فَإِنَّ كَثِيرِينَ سَيَأْتُونَ بِاسْمِي قَائِلِينَ إِنِّي أَنَا هُوَ وَإِنَّ الزَّمَانَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ: فَلا تَتْبَعُوهُمْ! 9 وَعِنْدَمَا تَسْمَعُونَ بِالْحُرُوبِ وَالاِضْطِرَابَاتِ، فَلا تَرْتَعِبُوا، لأَنَّ هذِهِ الأُمُورَ لابُدَّ مِنْ حُدُوثِهَا أَوَّلاً، وَلكِنَّ النِّهَايَةَ لَا تَأْتِي حَالاً بَعْدَهَا!» 10 ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ: «سَتَنْقَلِبُ أُمَّةٌ عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَمَمْلَكَةٌ عَلَى مَمْلَكَةٍ، 11 وَتَحْدُثُ فِي عِدَّةِ أَمَاكِنَ زَلازِلُ شَدِيدَةٌ وَمَجَاعَاتٌ وَأَوْبِئَةٌ، وَتَظْهَرُ عَلامَاتٌ مُخِيفَةٌ وَآيَاتٌ عَظِيمَةٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ. 12 وَلكِنْ قَبْلَ هذِهِ الأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا يَمُدُّ النَّاسُ أَيْدِيَهُمْ إِلَيْكُمْ وَيَضْطَهِدُونَكُمْ، فَيُسَلِّمُونَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَجَامِعِ وَالسُّجُونِ، وَيَسُوقُونَكُمْ لِلْمُثُولِ أَمَامَ الْمُلُوكِ وَالْحُكَّامِ، مِنْ أَجْلِ اسْمِي. 13 وَلكِنَّ ذلِكَ سَيُتِيحُ لَكُمْ فُرْصَةً لِلشَّهَادَةِ. 14 فَضَعُوا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ أَلّا تُعِدُّوا دِفَاعَكُمْ مُسْبَقاً، 15 لأَنِّي سَوْفَ أُعْطِيكُمْ كَلاماً وَحِكْمَةً لَا يَقْدِرُ جَمِيعُ مُقَاوِمِيكُمْ أَنْ يَرُدُّوهَا أَوْ يُنَاقِضُوهَا. 16 وَسَوْفَ يُسَلِّمُكُمْ حَتَّى الْوَالِدُونَ وَالإِخْوَةُ وَالأَقْرِبَاءُ وَالأَصْدِقَاءُ، وَيَقْتُلُونَ بَعْضاً مِنْكُمْ، 17 وَتَكُونُونَ مَكْرُوهِينَ لَدَى الْجَمِيعِ مِنْ أَجْلِ اسْمِي. 18 وَلكِنَّ شَعْرَةً مِنْ رُؤُوسِكُمْ لَا تَهْلِكُ الْبَتَّةَ. 19 فَبِاحْتِمَالِكُمْ تَرْبَحُونَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ! 20 وَعِنْدَمَا تَرَوْنَ أُورُشَلِيمَ مُحَاصَرَةً بِالْجُيُوشِ، فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ خَرَابَهَا قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ. 21 عِنْدَئِذٍ، لِيَهْرُبِ الَّذِينَ فِي مِنْطَقَةِ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ إِلَى الْجِبَالِ، وَلْيَرْحَلْ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ مَنْ هُمْ فِيهَا، وَلا يَدْخُلْهَا مَنْ هُمْ فِي الأَرْيَافِ: 22 فَإِنَّ هذِهِ الأَيَّامَ أَيَّامُ انْتِقَامٍ يَتِمُّ فِيهَا كُلُّ مَا قَدْ كُتِبَ. 23 وَلكِنَّ الْوَيْلُ لِلْحَبَالَى وَالْمُرْضِعَاتِ فِي تِلْكَ الأَيَّامِ، لأَنَّ ضِيقَةً عَظِيمَةً سَوْفَ تَقَعُ عَلَى الأَرْضِ وَغَضَباً شَدِيداً سَيَنْزِلُ بِهَذَا الشَّعْبِ، 24 فَيَسْقُطُونَ بِحَدِّ السَّيْفِ وَيُسَاقُونَ أَسْرَى إِلَى جَمِيعِ الأُمَمِ، وَتَبْقَى أُورُشَلِيمُ تَدُوسُهَا الأُمَمُ إِلَى أَنْ تَكْتَمِلَ أَزْمِنَةُ الأُمَمِ. 25 وَسَتَظْهَرُ عَلامَاتٌ فِي الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ وَالنُّجُومِ، وَتَكُونُ عَلَى الأَرْضِ ضِيقَةٌ عَلَى الأُمَمِ الْوَاقِعَةِ فِي حَيْرَةٍ، لأَنَّ الْبَحْرَ وَالأَمْوَاجَ تَعِجُّ وَتَجِيشُ، 26 وَيُغْمَى عَلَى النَّاسِ مِنَ الرُّعْبِ وَمِنْ تَوَقُّعِ مَا سَوْفَ يَجْتَاحُ الْمَسْكُونَةَ، إِذْ تَتَزَعْزَعُ أَجْرَامُ السَّمَاوَاتِ. 27 عِنْدَئِذٍ يَرَوْنَ ابْنَ الإِنْسَانِ آتِياً فِي السَّحَابِ بِقُوَّةٍ وَمَجْدٍ عَظِيمٍ. 28 وَلكِنْ عِنْدَمَا تَبْدَأُ هذِهِ الأُمُورُ تَحْدُثُ، فَانْتَصِبُوا وَارْفَعُوا رُؤُوسَكُمْ لأَنَّ فِدَاءَكُمْ يَقْتَرِبُ». 29 وَضَرَبَ لَهُمْ مَثَلاً: «انْظُرُوا إِلَى التِّينَةِ وَبَاقِي الأَشْجَارِ! 30 عِنْدَمَا تَرَوْنَهَا قَدْ أَوْرَقَتْ تَعْلَمُونَ مِنْ تِلْقَاءِ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَنَّ الصَّيْفَ بَاتَ قَرِيباً. 31 فَهكَذَا أَنْتُمْ أَيْضاً، عِنْدَمَا تَرَوْنَ هذِهِ الأُمُورَ حَادِثَةً، فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ بَاتَ قَرِيباً. 32 الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: لَا يَزُولُ هَذَا الْجِيلُ أَبَداً حَتَّى تَحْدُثَ هذِهِ كُلُّهَا. 33 إِنَّ السَّمَاءَ وَالأَرْضَ تَزُولانِ، وَلكِنَّ كَلامِي لَا يَزُولُ أَبَداً. 34 وَلكِنْ احْذَرُوا لأَنْفُسِكُمْ لِئَلّا تَتَثَقَّلَ قُلُوبُكُمْ بِالاِنْغِمَاسِ فِي اللَّذَّاتِ وَبِالسُّكْرِ وَهُمُومِ الْحَيَاةِ، فَيَدْهَمَكُمْ ذلِكَ الْيَوْمُ فَجْأَةً؛ 35 فَإِنَّهُ سَوْفَ يُطْبِقُ كَالْفَخِّ عَلَى جَمِيعِ السَّاكِنِينَ عَلَى وَجْهِ الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا. 36 فَاسْهَرُوا إِذَنْ وَتَضَرَّعُوا فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ، لِكَيْ تَتَمَكَّنُوا مِنْ أَنْ تَنْجُوا مِنْ جَمِيعِ هذِهِ الأُمُورِ الَّتِي هِيَ عَلَى وَشْكِ أَنْ تَحْدُثَ، وَتَقِفُوا أَمَامَ ابْنِ الإِنْسَانِ». 37 وَكَانَ فِي النَّهَارِ يُعَلِّمُ فِي الْهَيْكَلِ، وَفِي اللَّيْلِ يَخْرُجُ وَيَبِيتُ فِي الْجَبَلِ الْمَعْرُوفِ بِجَبَلِ الزَّيْتُونِ. 38 وَكَانَ جَمِيعُ الشَّعْبِ يُبَكِّرُونَ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْهَيْكَلِ لِيَسْتَمِعُوا إِلَيْهِ.
