Psalm 125

English Standard Version

1 A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. (Ps 25:2; Ps 93:1; Ps 104:5; Ps 120:1; Pr 10:30)2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore. (2Ki 6:17; Zec 2:5)3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous stretch out their hands to do wrong. (Ge 3:22; Ex 22:8; Ps 16:5; Isa 14:5; Isa 30:30)4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts! (Ps 7:10; Ps 119:68)5 But those who turn aside to their crooked ways the Lord will lead away with evildoers! Peace be upon Israel! (Ps 40:4; Ps 92:7; Ps 92:9; Ps 94:4; Ps 128:6; Pr 2:15; Ga 6:16)

Psalm 125

King James Version

1 A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
