6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— (Ac 16:6; Ac 18:23; 2Co 11:4; Ga 4:13; Ga 5:8; 1Ti 1:3)7not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. (Ac 4:12; Ac 15:24; 1Co 3:11; 2Co 11:13; Ga 5:10)8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. (Ro 9:3; 2Co 11:14)9As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. (Ga 1:8)10For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant[2] of Christ. (Ro 1:1; Ro 2:29; 1Co 10:33; Eph 6:6; Col 3:22; 1Th 2:4)
Paul Called by God
11For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel.[3] (Ro 2:16; 1Co 15:1)12For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. (Ac 22:14; 1Co 2:10; 1Co 11:23; 1Co 15:3; 2Co 12:1; Ga 1:1; Ga 1:16)13For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. (Ac 8:3; Ac 26:4)14And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers. (Jer 9:14; Mt 15:2; Ac 21:20; Php 3:6; 2Ti 1:3)15But when he who had set me apart before I was born,[4] and who called me by his grace, (Isa 49:1; Isa 49:5; Jer 1:5; Lu 1:15; Ac 13:2; Ro 1:1; Ga 1:6)16was pleased to reveal his Son to[5] me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone;[6] (Ac 9:15; Ga 2:9)17nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.18Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and remained with him fifteen days. (Ac 9:22)19But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord’s brother. (Mt 12:46; Ac 12:17)20(In what I am writing to you, before God, I do not lie!) (Ro 1:9; Ro 9:1)21Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. (Ac 9:30; Ac 11:25; Ac 13:1)22And I was still unknown in person to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. (1Th 2:14)23They only were hearing it said, “He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”24And they glorified God because of me.
Galatians 1
King James Version
1Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)2And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:3Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:5To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:14And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.15But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:17Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.18Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.19But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.20Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.21Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;22And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:23But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.24And they glorified God in me.
