Psalm 24

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,[1] the world and those who dwell therein, (Ex 9:29; Ex 19:5; De 10:14; Job 41:11; Ps 50:12; Ps 89:11; 1Co 10:26) 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. (Ge 1:9; Job 38:6; Ps 104:5; Ps 136:6; Pr 8:29) 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? (Ps 2:6; Ps 15:1) 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. (De 10:12; Job 22:30; Ps 31:6; Ps 73:1; Ps 119:37; Isa 33:15; Eze 18:6; Mic 6:8; Mt 5:8) 5 He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (Ge 22:17; Ps 27:9; Ps 38:22; Ps 51:14; Ps 88:1; Isa 46:13; Isa 56:1) 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.[2] (Ps 14:5; Ps 27:8; Ps 105:4) 7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. (Ps 118:19; Isa 26:2; 1Co 2:8) 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! (Ex 15:3) 9 Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! (Mal 1:14)

1 Ein Psalm Davids. Dem HERRN gehört die Erde und was sie erfüllt, der Erdkreis und seine Bewohner. (Ex 9:29; De 10:14; Ps 50:12; Ps 89:12; Ps 95:5; Ps 136:6; Isa 42:5; 1Co 10:26) 2 Denn er hat ihn auf Meere gegründet, ihn über Strömen befestigt. 3 Wer darf hinaufziehn zum Berg des HERRN, wer darf stehn an seiner heiligen Stätte? (Ps 118:19) 4 Der unschuldige Hände hat und ein reines Herz, der seine Seele nicht an Nichtiges hängt und keinen trügerischen Eid geschworen hat. 5 Er wird Segen empfangen vom HERRN und Gerechtigkeit vom Gott seines Heils. 6 Das ist das Geschlecht, das nach ihm fragt, die dein Angesicht suchen, Jakob. [Sela] (Ps 27:8) 7 Ihr Tore, hebt eure Häupter, / hebt euch, ihr uralten Pforten, denn es kommt der König der Herrlichkeit! (Ex 15:18; Ps 10:16; Ps 22:29; Ps 29:10; Ps 47:8; Ps 93:1; Ps 96:10; Ps 97:1; Ps 98:6; Ps 99:1; Ps 145:11; Ps 146:10; Isa 52:7) 8 Wer ist dieser König der Herrlichkeit? / Der HERR, stark und gewaltig, der HERR, im Kampf gewaltig. 9 Ihr Tore, hebt eure Häupter, / hebt euch, ihr uralten Pforten, denn es kommt der König der Herrlichkeit! 10 Wer ist er, dieser König der Herrlichkeit?/ Der HERR der Heerscharen: Er ist der König der Herrlichkeit.
