Jeremias Auseinandersetzung mit Hananja, dem Propheten des Heils

1 Und es geschah in demselben Jahr, im Anfang der Regierung Zedekias, des Königs von Juda, im vierten Jahr, im fünften Monat, da sagte zu mir der Prophet Hananja, der Sohn des Asur, der von Gibeon war, im Haus des HERRN vor den Augen der Priester und des ganzen Volkes: (Jer 27,1) 2 So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Ich zerbreche das Joch des Königs von Babel. (3Mo 26,13) 3 Nach zwei Jahren^[1] bringe ich alle Geräte des Hauses des HERRN an diesen Ort zurück, die Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, von diesem Ort weggenommen und nach Babel gebracht hat. (2Chr 36,7; Jer 27,16) 4 Und Jechonja, den Sohn Jojakims, den König von Juda, und alle Weggeführten von Juda, die nach Babel gekommen sind, bringe ich an diesen Ort zurück, spricht der HERR^[2]; denn ich zerbreche das Joch des Königs von Babel. 5 Da sagte der Prophet Jeremia zum Propheten Hananja vor den Augen der Priester und vor den Augen des ganzen Volkes, das im Haus des HERRN stand, 6 der Prophet Jeremia sagte: Amen, so tue der HERR! Der HERR bestätige deine Worte, die du geweissagt hast, dass er die Geräte des Hauses des HERRN und alle Weggeführten von Babel an diesen Ort zurückbringen wird! (1Kön 1,36; Jer 11,5) 7 Nur höre doch dieses Wort, das ich vor deinen Ohren und vor den Ohren des ganzen Volkes rede: (1Kön 22,28) 8 Die Propheten, die von alters her vor mir und vor dir gewesen sind, die haben auch über viele^[3] Länder und über große Königreiche geweissagt von Krieg, von Unheil und von Pest! 9 Der Prophet, der von Frieden weissagt, wird dadurch, dass das Wort des Propheten eintrifft, als der Prophet erkannt, den der HERR in Wahrheit gesandt hat. (5Mo 18,21; Hes 33,33) 10 Da nahm der Prophet Hananja das Joch^[4] vom Hals des Propheten Jeremia und zerbrach es. (Jer 27,2) 11 Dann sagte Hananja vor den Augen des ganzen Volkes: So spricht der HERR: Ebenso werde ich nach zwei Jahren^[5] das Joch Nebukadnezars, des Königs von Babel, zerbrechen vom Hals aller Nationen. Der Prophet Jeremia aber ging seines Weges. (Spr 14,7) 12 Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu Jeremia, nachdem der Prophet Hananja das Joch^[6] vom Hals des Propheten Jeremia zerbrochen hatte: (Jer 27,2) 13 Geh und sage zu Hananja: So spricht der HERR: Ein hölzernes Joch^[7] hast du zerbrochen, aber an seiner Stelle hast du ein eisernes Joch^[8] gemacht^[9]! (5Mo 28,48) 14 Denn so spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, der Gott Israels: Ein eisernes Joch habe ich auf den Hals all dieser Nationen gelegt, damit sie Nebukadnezar, dem König von Babel, dienen, und sie werden ihm dienen; und auch die Tiere des Feldes habe ich ihm gegeben. (Jer 27,4) 15 Und der Prophet Jeremia sagte zum Propheten Hananja: Höre doch, Hananja! Der HERR hat dich nicht gesandt, sondern du hast dieses Volk auf eine Lüge vertrauen lassen. (Jer 29,31; Kla 2,14; Hes 13,6) 16 Darum, so spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich werfe dich von der Fläche des Erdbodens. Dieses Jahr wirst du sterben; denn du hast Ungehorsam gegen den HERRN gepredigt. The false prophet Hananiah opposes Jeremiah

1 The false prophet Hananiah spoke to me, Jeremiah, in the LORD’s house. Hananiah was from Gibeon. He was the son of Azzur. It was shortly after Zedekiah became king of Judah. It was in the fifth month of his fourth year. In front of the priests and all the people Hananiah spoke to me. He said, 2 ‘The LORD who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says, “I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3 Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, removed all the objects that belong to my house. He took them to Babylon. Before two years are over, I will bring them back to this place. 4 I will also bring King Jehoiachin back. He is the son of Jehoiakim. And I will bring back all the others who were taken from Judah to Babylon,” announces the LORD. “I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.” ’ 5 Then Jeremiah the prophet replied to the false prophet Hananiah. Jeremiah spoke to him in front of the priests and all the people. They were standing in the LORD’s house. 6 Jeremiah said, ‘Amen, Hananiah! May the LORD do those things! May he make the words you have prophesied come true. May he bring back from Babylon the objects that belong to the LORD’s house. May he bring back to this place all the people who were taken away. 7 But listen to what I have to say. I want you and all the people to hear it. 8 There have been prophets long before you and I were ever born. They have prophesied against many countries and great kingdoms. They have spoken about war, trouble and plague. 9 But what if a prophet says peace will come? And suppose peace really does come? Only then will he be recognised as a prophet truly sent by the LORD.’ 10 The false prophet Hananiah took the yoke off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet. Then Hananiah broke the yoke. 11 In front of all the people he said, ‘The LORD says, “In the same way, I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. Before two years are over, I will remove it from the necks of all the nations.” ’ When Jeremiah the prophet heard this, he went on his way. 12 A message from the LORD came to Jeremiah. It was after the false prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke off Jeremiah’s neck. The message said, 13 ‘Go. Tell Hananiah, “The LORD says, ‘You have broken a wooden yoke. But in its place you will get an iron yoke.’ 14 The LORD who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says, ‘I will put an iron yoke on the necks of all these nations. I will make them serve Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. So they will serve him. I will even give him control over the wild animals.’ ” ’ 15 Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke to the false prophet Hananiah. Jeremiah said, ‘Listen, Hananiah! The LORD hasn’t sent you. But you have tricked these people. Now they trust in lies. 16 So the LORD says, “I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. Before this year is over, you will die. You have taught the people to turn against me.” ’ 17 In the seventh month of that very year, the false prophet Hananiah died.
