La Bible du Semeur



1 De David. Fais-moi justice, ô Eternel, ╵car la vie que je mène ╵est sans reproche. Je me confie en l’Eternel, ╵je ne faiblirai pas[1]. 2 Sonde-moi, Eternel, ╵éprouve-moi et examine ╵mon cœur et mes pensées. 3 Je garde ton amour ╵présent à mon esprit, et je conduis ma vie ╵selon ta vérité. 4 Je ne vais pas m’asseoir ╵avec les hommes fourbes. Je ne fréquente pas ╵les hypocrites. 5 Je hais la compagnie ╵de ceux qui font le mal, je ne vais pas m’asseoir ╵chez les méchants. 6 Je laverai mes mains ╵en signe d’innocence[2] avant de m’approcher ╵de ton autel, ô Eternel, (Dt 21:7; Mt 27:24) 7 pour t’exprimer ╵ma gratitude, et raconter ╵tes œuvres merveilleuses. 8 O Eternel, ╵j’aime le lieu ╵où tu habites et où ta gloire[3] ╵a sa demeure! (Ex 24:16; Ex 32:22; Ex 40:35; 1R 8:11; Jn 1:14) 9 Ne lie donc pas mon sort ╵à celui des pécheurs, ne m’ôte pas la vie ╵avec les assassins! 10 Ils ont commis ╵des actes criminels, ils se sont laissé acheter[4]. 11 Mais moi je veux mener ╵une vie sans reproche. Délivre-moi ╵et fais-moi grâce! 12 Je marche sur le droit chemin[5]. Oui, je veux te bénir, ╵ô Eternel, ╵au sein de l’assemblée.

English Standard Version



1 Of David. Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. (Ps 7:8; Ps 11:1; Ps 26:11) 2 Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind.[1] (Ps 7:9; Ps 17:3; Ps 139:23) 3 For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. (2R 20:3; Ps 25:10; Ps 86:11) 4 I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. (Jb 11:11; Ps 1:1) 5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked. (Ps 31:6; Ps 139:21) 6 I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O Lord, (Ex 30:19; Dt 21:6; Ps 73:13) 7 proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds. (Ps 9:1) 8 O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells. (Ps 27:4) 9 Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, (Ps 28:3) 10 in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. (Ex 23:8; Dt 16:19) 11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me. 12 My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the Lord. (Ps 22:25; Ps 27:11)
