Je veux chanter ta fidélité

1 De David. Je te louerai ╵de tout mon cœur; devant les puissants de ce monde, ╵je te célébrerai ╵avec de la musique. (Ps 82:1; Ps 82:6) 

2 Je me prosterne ╵dirigé vers ton sanctuaire et je te loue, pour ton amour ╵et ta fidélité, car tu as réalisé tes promesses ╵en surpassant ta renommée. 

3 Le jour où je t’ai invoqué, ╵toi tu m’as répondu, et tu m’as donné du courage, ╵tu m’as fortifié. 

4 Que tous les rois du monde ╵te louent, ô Eternel, à l’écoute de ta parole! 

5 Et qu’ils célèbrent ╵les œuvres de l’Eternel par leurs chants! Grande est la gloire ╵de l’Eternel! 

6 Si haut qu’est l’Eternel, ╵il voit les humbles, et de loin il repère ╵les orgueilleux. 

7 Si je passe par la détresse, tu préserves ma vie ╵face à la furie de mes ennemis; tu interviens pour me sauver. 

8 Oui, l’Eternel ╵achèvera son œuvre en ma faveur. Eternel, ton amour dure à toujours. N’abandonne donc pas tes créatures!

Give Thanks to the Lord

1 Of David. I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise; (Ps 95:3; Ps 96:5; Ps 111:1) 

2 I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. (1R 8:29; Ps 5:7; Ps 28:2) 

3 On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased. 

4 All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth, (Ps 102:15) 

5 and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord. (Ps 103:7) 

6 For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar. (Ps 113:5; Ps 131:1; Pr 3:34; Lc 1:48; Jc 4:6) 

7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. (1S 24:6; Jb 1:12; Ps 23:4; Ps 60:5; Ps 71:20) 

8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. (1Ch 16:41; Ps 57:2; Ps 100:3; Ps 136:1; Ph 1:6)
