1 Psaume de David. Déclaration de l’Eternel. ╵Il dit à mon Seigneur: « Viens siéger à ma droite[1] jusqu’à ce que j’aie mis ╵tes ennemis ╵à terre sous tes pieds[2]. » (Jos 10:24; 1R 2:19; 1R 5:17; 2Ch 9:18; Ps 45:10; Mc 12:36; Mc 14:62; Mc 16:19; He 1:3; He 1:13; He 8:1) 2 L’Eternel étendra ╵de Sion ton pouvoir royal, et tu domineras ╵parmi tes ennemis. 3 Au jour où tu ranges tes forces ╵en ordre de bataille[3], ton peuple est plein d’ardeur et, du sein de l’aurore, dans de saintes parures[4], tous tes jeunes guerriers ╵se presseront vers toi ╵comme naît la rosée[5]. 4 L’Eternel l’a juré, ╵il ne reviendra pas ╵sur son engagement: « Tu seras prêtre pour toujours selon la ligne de Melchisédek[6]. » (Gn 14:18; He 5:6; He 6:20; He 7:17; He 7:21) 5 Le Seigneur, à ta droite, va écraser des rois ╵au jour de sa colère. 6 Il exerce le jugement ╵parmi les peuples; ╵les cadavres s’entassent, il écrase des chefs ╵de par la terre entière[7]. 7 En chemin, le roi s’abreuve au torrent, puis relève la tête.

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” (Jos 10:24; Ps 8:6; Ps 18:38; Mt 22:44; Mt 26:64; Mc 12:36; Lc 20:42; Ac 2:34; 1Co 15:25; Ep 1:20; Ep 1:22; Col 3:1; He 1:3; He 1:13; He 2:8; He 8:1; He 10:12; He 10:13; He 12:2; 1P 3:22) 2 The Lord sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! (Ps 45:6; Ps 68:35; Ps 72:8; Jr 48:17; Ez 19:14; Da 7:13) 3 Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power,[1] in holy garments;[2] from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.[3] (Ex 35:29; Jg 5:2; 1Ch 16:29; Ne 11:2; Is 13:3; Ap 19:14) 4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” (Gn 14:18; Nb 23:19; Ps 132:11; Za 6:13; Jn 12:34; He 5:6; He 6:17; He 6:20; He 7:17; He 7:21; He 7:24; He 7:28) 5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. (Ps 2:5; Ps 2:12; Ps 16:8; Ps 68:14; Rm 2:5; Ap 6:17) 6 He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs[4] over the wide earth. (Ps 68:21; Is 2:4; Ez 39:17; Jl 3:12; Mi 4:3; Ap 19:17) 7 He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head. (Jg 7:5)
