La Bible du Semeur



1 Psaume de David. Je veux chanter l’amour ╵et la justice, je te célébrerai ╵par la musique, ╵ô Eternel. 2 Je ferai attention ╵de suivre le chemin ╵des gens intègres. Quand viendras-tu vers moi? Je veux marcher ╵avec un cœur intègre dans ma maison, 3 je ne mettrai ╵rien de mauvais ╵devant mes yeux. Je hais l’acte tordu, il n’aura sur moi pas de prise. 4 Le cœur corrompu restera ╵bien loin de moi, je ne veux pas ╵être impliqué avec le mal. 5 Celui qui calomnie ╵son prochain en secret, je le réduirai au silence. Je ne supporte pas les yeux hautains ╵ni le cœur arrogant. 6 Mes yeux se porteront ╵sur les fidèles du pays, je les ferai siéger auprès de moi. Et ceux qui suivent le chemin ╵des gens intègres seront à mon service. 7 Il n’y a pas de place ╵dans ma maison pour qui pratique ╵la tromperie, et le menteur ╵ne subsistera pas ╵en ma présence. 8 Tous les matins[1] ╵je fermerai la bouche ╵aux méchants du pays, pour retrancher ╵de la cité de l’Eternel, tous ceux qui font le mal. (2S 15:2; Jr 21:12)

English Standard Version



1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music. (Ex 34:7) 2 I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; (Ex 20:24; 1R 9:4; Ps 4:4; Ps 78:72; Ps 119:1; Pr 11:20; Mt 5:48; Jn 14:23) 3 I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. (Dt 15:9; Ps 40:4) 4 A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil. (Pr 11:20; Pr 17:20; 1Co 5:11) 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. (Ps 15:3; Ps 18:27; Ps 101:8; Ps 131:1; Pr 6:17; Pr 16:5; Pr 21:4; Pr 30:13) 6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me. (Ps 119:1; Pr 11:20; Mt 5:48) 7 No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes. (Ps 52:2; Ps 102:28) 8 Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord. (Ps 48:1; Ps 48:8; Ps 73:14; Ps 75:10; Ps 94:4; Is 52:1)
