1Ein Psalm Davids. Von Gnade und Recht will ich singen; dir, HERR, will ich spielen!2Ich will achthaben auf den vollkommenen Weg. Wann wirst du zu mir kommen? Ich will mit lauterem Herzen wandeln im Innern meines Hauses.3Ich will nichts Schändliches vor meine Augen stellen; das Tun der Abtrünnigen hasse ich, es soll mir nicht anhaften!4Ein verkehrtes Herz soll von mir weichen; von Bösem will ich nichts wissen!5Wer seinen Nächsten heimlich verleumdet, den will ich vertilgen; wer stolze Augen und ein hochmütiges Herz hat, den will ich nicht dulden.6Ich achte auf die Treuen im Land, sie sollen bei mir wohnen; wer auf unsträflichem Weg wandelt, der soll mir dienen.7In meinem Haus soll keiner wohnen, der Betrug verübt; wer Lügen redet, soll nicht bestehen vor meinen Augen.8Jeden Morgen will ich alle Gottlosen im Land vertilgen, um aus der Stadt des HERRN alle auszurotten, die Böses tun.

1I will sing about your love and fairness. LORD, I will sing praise to you.2I will be careful to lead a life that is without blame. When will you come and help me? In my own home I will lead a life that is without blame.3I won’t look at anything that is evil and call it good. I hate the acts of people who aren’t faithful to you. I won’t have anything to do with those things.4I will stay away from those whose hearts are twisted. I won’t have anything to do with what is evil.5I will get rid of anyone who tells lies about their neighbour in secret. I won’t put up with anyone whose eyes and heart are proud.6I will look with favour on the faithful people in the land. They will live with me. Those whose lives are without blame will serve me.7No one who lies and cheats will live in my house. No one who tells lies will serve me.8Every morning I will get rid of all the sinful people in the land. I will remove from the city of the LORD everyone who does what is evil.
