Psalm 148 | Schlachter 2000
1 Hallelujah! Lobt den HERRN von den Himmeln her, lobt ihn in der Höhe! 2 Lobt ihn, alle seine Engel; lobt ihn, alle seine Heerscharen! 3 Lobt ihn, Sonne und Mond; lobt ihn, alle leuchtenden Sterne! 4 Lobt ihn, ihr Himmel der Himmel, und ihr Wasser oben am Himmel! 5 Sie sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn er gebot, und sie wurden erschaffen, 6 und er verlieh ihnen Bestand auf immer und ewig; er gab ein Gesetz, das nicht überschritten wird. 7 Lobt den HERRN von der Erde her, ihr Meerestiere und alle Meeresfluten! 8 Feuer und Hagel, Schnee und Dunst, der Sturmwind, der sein Wort ausführt; 9 Ihr Berge und alle Hügel, Obstbäume und alle Zedern; 10 wilde Tiere und alles Vieh, alles, was kriecht und fliegt; 11 ihr Könige der Erde und alle Völker, ihr Fürsten und alle Richter auf Erden; 12 ihr jungen Männer und auch Jungfrauen, Alte mitsamt den Jungen; 13 sie sollen loben den Namen des HERRN! Denn sein Name allein ist erhaben, sein Glanz überstrahlt Erde und Himmel. 14 Und er hat das Horn seines Volkes erhöht,* allen seinen Getreuen zum Ruhm, den Kindern Israels, dem Volk, das ihm nahe ist. Hallelujah!

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. 3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. 4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. 7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: 8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: 9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: 10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: 11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: 12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. 14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him.
