1 Hallelujah! Lobt den Namen des HERRN! Lobt ihn, ihr Knechte des HERRN, 2 die ihr steht im Haus des HERRN, in den Vorhöfen des Hauses unseres Gottes! 3 Lobt den HERRN, denn gütig ist der HERR; lobsingt seinem Namen, denn er ist lieblich! 4 Denn der HERR hat sich Jakob erwählt, Israel zu seinem besonderen Eigentum. 5 Denn ich weiß, dass der HERR groß ist; ja, unser Herr ist größer als alle Götter. 6 Alles, was dem HERRN wohlgefällt, das tut er, im Himmel und auf Erden, in den Meeren und in allen Tiefen: 7 Er lässt Dünste aufsteigen vom Ende der Erde her, er macht Blitze beim Regen und holt den Wind aus seinen Speichern hervor. 8 Er schlug die Erstgeborenen Ägyptens, vom Menschen bis zum Vieh; 9 er sandte Zeichen und Wunder in deine Mitte, Ägypten, gegen den Pharao und alle seine Knechte; 10 er schlug große Nationen und tötete mächtige Könige; 11 Sihon, den König der Amoriter, und Og, den König von Baschan, und alle Könige Kanaans, 12 und er gab ihr Land als Erbe, als Erbe seinem Volk Israel. 13 O HERR, dein Name währt ewig; HERR, dein Gedenken bleibt von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht! 14 Denn der HERR wird seinem Volk Recht schaffen und Mitleid haben mit seinen Knechten. 15 Die Götzen der Heiden sind Silber und Gold, von Menschenhand gemacht. 16 Sie haben einen Mund und reden nicht, Augen haben sie und sehen nicht; 17 Ohren haben sie und hören nicht, auch ist kein Odem in ihrem Mund. 18 Ihnen gleich sind die, welche sie machen, ein jeder, der auf sie vertraut! 19 Haus Israel, lobe den HERRN! Haus Aaron, lobe den HERRN! 20 Haus Levi, lobe den HERRN! Die ihr den HERRN fürchtet, lobt den HERRN! 21 Gelobt sei der HERR von Zion aus, er, der in Jerusalem wohnt! Hallelujah!
