1 În ziua aceea, șapte femei vor pune mâna pe un bărbat, zicând: „Ne vom mânca propria pâine și ne vom purta propriile haine, numai lasă‑ne să‑ți purtăm numele! Îndepărtează de la noi disprețul!“

Vlăstarul Domnului

2 În ziua aceea, Vlăstarul DOMNULUI va fi frumos și glorios, iar rodul țării va fi măreția și onoarea supraviețuitorilor lui Israel.

3 Oricine este lăsat în Sion și rămâne în Ierusalim, toți cei înscriși ca fiind vii în Ierusalim, vor fi numiți sfinți.

4 Odată ce Stăpânul va spăla murdăria fiicelor Sionului și va curăța petele de sânge din Ierusalim printr‑un duh de judecată și unul de foc,

5 DOMNUL va crea peste întreg muntele Sion și peste cei ce se adună acolo un nor de fum ziua și un foc de flăcări strălucitoare noaptea. Da, peste toată slava va fi un baldachin;

6 va fi o colibă și o umbră în arșița zilei, un adăpost și un loc ascuns de furtună și de ploaie.

1 At that time seven women will grab hold of one man. They’ll say to him, ‘We will eat our own food. We’ll provide our own clothes. Just let us become your wives. Take away our shame!’

The Branch of the Lord

2 At that time Israel’s king will be beautiful and glorious. He will be called The Branch of the LORD. The fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of those who are still left alive in Israel.

3 Those who are left in Zion will be called holy. They will be recorded among those who are alive in Jerusalem.

4 The Lord will wash away the sin of the women in Zion. He will clean up the blood that was spilled there. He will judge those who spilled that blood. His burning anger will blaze out at them.

5 Then the LORD will create over Jerusalem a cloud of smoke by day. He will also create a glow of flaming fire at night. The cloud and fire will appear over all of Mount Zion. They will also appear over the people who gather together there. The LORD’s glory will be like a tent over everything.

6 It will cover the people and give them shade from the hot sun all day long. It will be a safe place where they can hide from storms and rain.
