1He has founded his city on the holy mountain.2The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob.3Glorious things are said of you, city of God:*4‘I will record Rahab* and Babylon among those who acknowledge me – Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush* – and will say, “This one was born in Zion.” ’*5Indeed, of Zion it will be said, ‘This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her.’6The Lord will write in the register of the peoples: ‘This one was born in Zion.’7As they make music they will sing, ‘All my fountains are in you.’

تمجيد از اورشليم
1اورشليم بر کوههای مقدس بنا شده است.2خداوند آن را بيش از ساير شهرهای اسرائيل دوست دارد.3ای شهر خدا، به سخنانی كه خدا دربارهٔ تو گفته است گوش كن:4«فلسطين و صور و حبشه به تو، ای اورشليم، تعلق دارند و مصر و بابل جزو ممالكی میباشند كه مرا میشناسند.»5دربارهٔ اورشليم خواهند گفت كه تمام قومهای دنيا به آن تعلق دارند و اينكه خدای قادر متعال اورشليم را قوی خواهد ساخت.6هنگامی كه خداوند اسامی قومها را ثبت نمايد، همهٔ آنها را به اورشليم نسبت خواهد داد.7آن قومها سرودخوانان و رقص كنان خواهند گفت: «اورشليم سرچشمهٔ همهٔ بركات و خوشيهای ماست!»
