1We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds.2You say, ‘I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity.3When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm.*4To the arrogant I say, “Boast no more,” and to the wicked, “Do not lift up your horns.*5Do not lift your horns against heaven; do not speak so defiantly.” ’6No-one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt themselves.7It is God who judges: he brings one down, he exalts another.8In the hand of the Lord is a cup full of foaming wine mixed with spices; he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to its very dregs.9As for me, I will declare this for ever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,10who says, ‘I will cut off the horns of all the wicked, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.’

خدا داور همه است
1تو را سپاس میگويم ای خدا، تو را سپاس میگويم! تو به ما نزديک هستی و ما معجزات تو را اعلام میكنيم.2خداوند میفرمايد: «وقتی زمان معين برسد، مردم را از روی عدل و انصاف داوری خواهم كرد.3اگرچه زمين چنان بلرزد كه ساكنانش هراسان شوند، ولی همچنان محكم و پا برجا خواهد ماند، زيرا من اركان آن را برقرار نمودهام.4به متكبران و شروران میگويم كه مغرور نباشند و از بلندپروازی و لاف زدن دست بردارند.»6سرافرازی انسان نه از غرب میآيد نه از شرق و نه از هيچ جای ديگر، زيرا هيچكس نمیتواند مايهٔ سرافرازی كسی شود جز خدا. اوست كه انسانها را داوری میكند و يكی را سرافراز و ديگری را سرافكنده مینمايد.8خداوند كاسهای در دست دارد كه از شراب تند و قوی غضب او پر است. او آن را به تمام بدكاران خواهد نوشانيد و آنها آن را تا جرعهٔ آخر سر خواهند كشيد.9اما من از تعريف و تمجيد خدای يعقوب باز نخواهم ايستاد، بلكه پيوسته در وصف او سرود خواهم خواند!10او قدرت بدكاران را در هم خواهد شكست و نيكان را تقويت خواهد نمود.
