1My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.2Awake, harp and lyre! دعا برای غلبه بر دشمن
1ای خدا، من روحيهٔ خود را نباختهام و اعتماد خود را از دست ندادهام. من سرود خواهم خواند و تو را ستايش خواهم كرد. ای جان من بيدار شو!2ای بربط و عود من به صدا درآييد تا سپيده دم را بيدار سازيم!3خداوندا، در ميان مردم تو را سپاس خواهم گفت و در ميان قومها تو را ستايش خواهم كرد،4زيرا رحمت تو بینهايت عظيم است.5ای خدا، جلال و شكوه تو بالاتر از آسمانها قرار گيرد و عظمت تو بر تمام جهان آشكار شود.6ای خدايی كه ما را دوست داری، با قدرت خويش ما را نجات ده و دعای ما را اجابت فرما.7خدا در خانهٔ مقدس خويش سخن گفته و فرموده است: «با پيروزی شهر شكيم و درهٔ سوكوت را بين قوم خود تقسيم خواهم كرد.8جلعاد و منسی از آن من است؛ افرايم كلاهخود من و يهودا عصای سلطنت من است.9اما قوم موآب را مانند لگن برای شستشو به کار خواهم برد، بر قوم ادوم كفشم را خواهم انداخت و بر فلسطين فرياد برخواهم آورد.»10كيست كه مرا برای گرفتن شهرهای حصاردار ادوم رهبری كند؟ ای خدا، تو ما را رهبری كن؛ بلی، تو كه اينک از ما روگردان شدهای، ما را رهبری كن!12تو ما را در جنگ با دشمن كمک كن، زيرا كمک انسان بیفايده است.13با كمک تو ای خدا، پيروز خواهيم شد، زيرا اين تويی كه دشمنان ما را شكست خواهی داد!
