1 The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. 2 Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity. 3 The seas have lifted up, Lord, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. 4 Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea – the Lord on high is mighty. 5 Your statutes, Lord, stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days.

1 L’Eternel règne. ╵Il est vêtu de majesté. Il est revêtu et ceint de puissance. C’est pourquoi le monde est fermement établi, ╵il ne vacille pas. 2 Dès l’origine, ╵ton trône est ferme, oui, tu existes ╵depuis toujours*! 3 O Eternel, les fleuves font entendre, les fleuves font entendre leur grand bruit, les fleuves font entendre ╵leur grondement. 4 Plus que le bruit des grandes eaux, plus puissant que les flots des mers, l’Eternel est puissant ╵dans les hauteurs! 5 Tes stipulations sont tout à fait sûres; la sainteté ╵caractérise ta demeure, ô Eternel, ╵pour tous les temps.
