For the director of music. A psalm of David. A song.
1Our God, we look forward to praising you in Zion. We will keep our promises to you.2All people will come to you, because you hear and answer prayer.3When our sins became too much for us, you forgave our lawless acts.4Blessed are those you choose and bring near to worship you. You bring us into the courtyards of your holy temple. There in your house we are filled with all kinds of good things.5God our Saviour, you answer us with right and wonderful deeds. People all over the world and beyond the farthest oceans put their hope in you.6You formed the mountains by your power. You showed how strong you are.7You calmed the oceans and their roaring waves. You calmed the angry words and actions of the nations.8Everyone on earth is amazed at the wonderful things you have done. What you do makes people from one end of the earth to the other sing for joy.9You take care of the land and water it. You make it able to grow many crops. You fill your streams with water. You do that to provide the people with corn. That’s what you have decided to do for the land.10You water its rows. You smooth out its bumps. You soften it with showers. And you bless its crops.11You bring the year to a close with huge crops. You provide more than enough food.12The grass grows thick even in the desert. The hills are dressed with gladness.13The meadows are covered with flocks and herds. The valleys are dressed with corn. They sing and shout for joy.

O God of Our Salvation
1To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. A Song. Praise is due to you,* O God, in Zion, and to you shall vows be performed.2O you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come.3When iniquities prevail against me, you atone for our transgressions.4Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple!5By awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness, O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas;6the one who by his strength established the mountains, being girded with might;7who stills the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples,8so that those who dwell at the ends of the earth are in awe at your signs. You make the going out of the morning and the evening to shout for joy.9You visit the earth and water it;* you greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; you provide their grain, for so you have prepared it.10You water its furrows abundantly, settling its ridges, softening it with showers, and blessing its growth.11You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with abundance.12The pastures of the wilderness overflow, the hills gird themselves with joy,13the meadows clothe themselves with flocks, the valleys deck themselves with grain, they shout and sing together for joy.
