Psalm 64 | King James Version
1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.2Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:3Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:4That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.5They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?6They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them , and the heart, is deep.7But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.8So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.9And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.10The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Hide Me from the Wicked
1To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy.2Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the throng of evildoers,3who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows,4shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear.5They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, “Who can see them?”6They search out injustice, saying, “We have accomplished a diligent search.” For the inward mind and heart of a man are deep.7But God shoots his arrow at them; they are wounded suddenly.8They are brought to ruin, with their own tongues turned against them; all who see them will wag their heads.9Then all mankind fears; they tell what God has brought about and ponder what he has done.10Let the righteous one rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult!
