Gott, der König aller Völker

1 Für den Chormeister. Ein Psalm der Korachiter. 2 Ihr Völker alle, klatscht in die Hände; jauchzt Gott zu mit lautem Jubel! 3 Denn Furcht gebietend ist der HERR, der Höchste, ein großer König über die ganze Erde. 4 Er unterwerfe uns Völker und zwinge Nationen unter unsere Füße. 5 Er erwähle für uns unser Erbland, den Stolz Jakobs, den er lieb hat. [Sela] 6 Gott stieg empor unter Jubel, der HERR beim Schall der Hörner. 7 Singt unserm Gott, ja singt ihm! Singt unserm König, singt ihm!* 8 Denn König der ganzen Erde ist Gott. Singt ihm ein Weisheitslied! 9 Gott wurde König über die Völker, Gott hat sich auf seinen heiligen Thron gesetzt. 10 Versammelt sind die Fürsten der Völker als Volk des Gottes Abrahams. Denn Gott gehören die Schilde der Erde; er ist hoch erhaben.

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! 2 For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth. 3 He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. 4 He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. 5 God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!* 8 God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne. 9 The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted!
