Loblied auf Gottes Hoheit und Liebe zu den Geringen

1 Halleluja! Lobt, ihr Knechte des HERRN, lobt den Namen des HERRN! 2 Der Name des HERRN sei gepriesen von nun an bis in Ewigkeit. 3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Untergang sei gelobt der Name des HERRN. 4 Erhaben ist der HERR über alle Völker, über den Himmeln ist seine Herrlichkeit. 5 Wer ist wie der HERR, unser Gott, der wohnt in der Höhe, 6 der hinabschaut in die Tiefe, auf Himmel und Erde? 7 Den Geringen richtet er auf aus dem Staub, aus dem Schmutz erhebt er den Armen, 8 um ihn wohnen zu lassen bei den Fürsten, bei den Fürsten seines Volks.* 9 Die Kinderlose lässt er wohnen im Haus als frohe Mutter von Kindern. Halleluja!

Who Is like the Lord Our God?

1 Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord! 2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore! 3 From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised! 4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens! 5 Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, 6 who looks far down on the heavens and the earth? 7 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap, 8 to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people. 9 He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord!
