Ein Lied.2Gott ist für uns Zuflucht und Schutz, in Zeiten der Not schenkt er uns seine Hilfe mehr als genug*.3Darum fürchten wir uns nicht, wenn auch die Erde bebt und wankt und die Berge mitten ins Meer sinken,4wenn auch seine Wellen brausen und tosen und die Berge erbeben von seiner gewaltigen Kraft. //*5Ein Strom, von vielen Bächen gespeist, erfreut die Stadt Gottes, den heiligen Ort, an dem der Höchste wohnt.6Ja, Gott wohnt in ihrer Mitte, darum wird sie niemals ins Wanken geraten, Gott wird ihr Hilfe bringen, wenn sich die Nacht zum Morgen wendet.7Völker geraten in Aufruhr, Königreiche wanken – Gott lässt seine Stimme nur einmal erschallen, und schon vergeht die ganze Welt!8Der allmächtige HERR* ist mit uns, der Gott Jakobs ist für uns eine sichere Burg. //9Kommt und führt euch vor Augen, welch große Taten der HERR vollbracht hat! In aller Welt hat er vernichtende Schläge gegen seine Feinde geführt.10Er beendet Kriege überall auf der Erde, Pfeil und Bogen bricht er entzwei, er zerschmettert Speere und verbrennt Streitwagen im Feuer.11Lasst euren Aufruhr und erkennt*, dass ich allein Gott bin, hoch erhaben über alle Völker, geehrt in aller Welt.12Der allmächtige HERR ist mit uns, der Gott Jakobs ist für uns eine sichere Burg. //
