Son amour est éternel

1 Célébrez l’Eternel, ╵car il est bon, car son amour dure à toujours*.

2 Oui, célébrez le Dieu des dieux, car son amour dure à toujours.

3 Célébrez tous le Seigneur des seigneurs, car son amour dure à toujours.

4 Lui seul a opéré de merveilleux prodiges, car son amour dure à toujours.

5 Il a créé le ciel par son intelligence, car son amour dure à toujours*.

6 Et il a étendu la terre sur les eaux, car son amour dure à toujours*.

7 Il a fait les grands astres, car son amour dure à toujours*.

8 Il a fait le soleil pour présider au jour, car son amour dure à toujours,

9 la lune et les étoiles pour présider à la nuit, car son amour dure à toujours.

10 Il frappa les premiers-nés de l’Egypte, car son amour dure à toujours*.

11 Il en fit sortir Israël, car son amour dure à toujours*,

12 par sa grande puissance, ╵en déployant sa force, car son amour dure à toujours*.

13 Il fendit en deux la mer des Roseaux, car son amour dure à toujours.

14 Il y fit passer Israël, car son amour dure à toujours.

15 Et il précipita ╵le pharaon et son armée ╵dans la mer des Roseaux, car son amour dure à toujours.

16 Il conduisit son peuple ╵à travers le désert, car son amour dure à toujours.

17 Il frappa de grands rois car son amour dure à toujours*.

18 Il fit périr ╵de puissants souverains, car son amour dure à toujours.

19 Il fit périr Sihôn, ╵roi des Amoréens, car son amour dure à toujours*.

20 Et Og, roi du Basan, car son amour dure à toujours*.

21 Il donna leur pays ╵en possession, car son amour dure à toujours,

22 en possession ╵à Israël, son serviteur, car son amour dure à toujours.

23 Dans notre humiliation, ╵il est intervenu pour nous, car son amour dure à toujours.

24 Il nous a délivrés ╵de tous nos ennemis, car son amour dure à toujours.

25 Il donne à toute créature ╵sa nourriture, car son amour dure à toujours*.

1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.

2 Give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever.

3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his steadfast love endures forever;

4 to him who alone does great wonders, for his steadfast love endures forever;

5 to him who by understanding made the heavens, for his steadfast love endures forever;

6 to him who spread out the earth above the waters, for his steadfast love endures forever;

7 to him who made the great lights, for his steadfast love endures forever;

8 the sun to rule over the day, for his steadfast love endures forever;

9 the moon and stars to rule over the night, for his steadfast love endures forever;

10 to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, for his steadfast love endures forever;

11 and brought Israel out from among them, for his steadfast love endures forever;

12 with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for his steadfast love endures forever;

13 to him who divided the Red Sea in two, for his steadfast love endures forever;

14 and made Israel pass through the midst of it, for his steadfast love endures forever;

15 but overthrew* Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for his steadfast love endures forever;

16 to him who led his people through the wilderness, for his steadfast love endures forever;

17 to him who struck down great kings, for his steadfast love endures forever;
